The VEVOR BH-6208 is a full-body massage chair with 3D rollers, an SL-shaped track, airbag compression and foot rollers. It is a large piece of furniture meant for a living room or bedroom, and it combines several massage techniques with a reclining frame, heat and Bluetooth audio.

Rollers and massage methods

The 3D rollers move in and out as well as up and down, so they can press with varying depth. VEVOR says they simulate kneading, tapping, acupressure, kneading-tapping and percussion, giving six massage methods. Eighteen auto modes combine these into preset routines, so you can start a session without setting each element by hand.

The SL track

A flat track runs straight down the backrest. An SL track curves with the spine at the lower back and continues under the seat, so the rollers can reach from the neck towards the hips and seat. VEVOR says the track adjusts to your body and fits users from 4.6 to 6.1 ft (1.4 to 1.86 m) tall. Fit varies by body shape, so it's worth checking that range against your own height.

Airbags, heat and foot rollers

The chair has 36 airbags with 5 adjustable levels of intensity. Leg airbags squeeze the calves and thighs, and foot rollers work on the soles. The chair also has a heat function. VEVOR describes the leg and foot features as helping you relax after exercise.

Zero gravity positions

Three tilt angles are available, including a zero gravity position. In general, zero gravity recline sets the backrest back and lifts the legs so that the knees sit above the level of the heart, a posture borrowed from astronaut seating. Many people simply find it a comfortable resting position. A retractable footrest adjusts to leg length.

Controls and connectivity

An LCD screen and armrest buttons give quick access to settings. A USB port charges a phone, and Bluetooth speakers connect to your phone so you can play music or a podcast during a session.

Size and weight

The chair measures about 61.0 x 29.1 x 41.3 inches (155 x 74 x 105 cm) and weighs 154.8 lb (around 70 kg). It is heavy and it needs room to recline, so measure the space, including the gap behind it, and consider the route through doorways and stairs. Place it on a firm, level floor and check how your flooring takes the weight.

Who it suits

It suits households that want a dedicated spot for relaxing at home and have room for a full-size chair. If you are short on space, a smaller massager for a seat or sofa takes much less room. Anyone with a health condition, an implant or pregnancy should ask a doctor before using a massage chair, and follow the manual's guidance on use.

What to check before you buy

  • Floor space: measure width, depth and recline clearance, including space behind the chair.
  • Your height: the listing gives 4.6 to 6.1 ft as the track range.
  • Delivery and moving: at about 155 lb, getting it into the room may take two people.
  • Power: check the outlet, and the cable's reach to where you plan to place it.
  • Noise: rollers and airbags make some noise, so consider where it will sit in your home.
  • Care: check the manual for cleaning the upholstery and for what to do with the chair when you're away.
