The Frizzlife SW15F is an under-sink drinking water filter that connects to your cold water line and delivers filtered water through its own dedicated faucet. It uses a single composite cartridge, which keeps the housing compact and the replacement routine simple. Here is what the specs mean and what to check.
One cartridge, two jobs
Frizzlife says the SW15F's cartridge combines a sediment filter and a coconut carbon block into one composite element with 0.5 micron filtration accuracy. Sediment filtering catches particles, while carbon block typically reduces chlorine, taste and odour. The brand lists NSF 42 and 53 certified filtration elements and says the system reduces chlorine, lead, fluoride, heavy metals and VOCs.
Frizzlife also states that the system does not reduce TDS. This is typical of carbon-based filters, which leave dissolved minerals in the water. The listing says it produces no waste water, unlike reverse osmosis systems.
Dedicated faucet
The water comes out of a lead-free brushed stainless steel faucet supplied in the box, which is separate from your main kitchen tap. A dedicated tap means filtered water is used for drinking and cooking only, and the cartridge isn't used up by washing-up water. You will need a spare hole in the sink or countertop for it, or a way to add one.
Flow rate
Frizzlife rates the full flow at 1.5 gallons per minute at 60 psi and says a 12 oz cup fills in under four seconds. That is a test figure. In a home the flow typically depends on your supply pressure.
Installation and cartridge changes
The brand says a DIY install takes about five minutes with the manual and an install guide. The system is for cold water only, so don't connect it to a hot line. The cartridge has an auto shut-off design, so Frizzlife says you can swap it with a simple twist without turning off the water supply. Each cartridge is rated for 16 to 24 months, and only the inner cartridge is replaced while the housing is kept. The replacement is sold as the Frizzlife PLC15.
Size
Before ordering, note that the listing's own pre-purchase check gives the unit as 4.9 x 6.1 x 18.9 inches (about 12 x 15.5 x 48 cm). Make sure your cabinet has that much height and width. Frizzlife also suggests it can be used in an RV, an office or a bathroom.
Who it suits
It suits kitchens where people want better-tasting drinking water at a separate tap, without the complexity of a reverse osmosis system, and it is practical for renters who can drill a faucet hole or already have a spare one.
What to check before you buy
- Space: confirm the 18.9-inch height and the width fit under your sink.
- Faucet hole: check you have, or can add, a hole for the dedicated faucet.
- Cold water only: connect it to the cold supply, as the manual describes.
- What you want reduced: read the NSF 42 and 53 claims and decide if they match your concern.
- Pressure: check the supply pressure falls within the range in the manual.
- Upkeep: note the PLC15 replacement cartridge and how often to change it.
