The eufy X8 Pro (model T2276) is a robot vacuum that comes with a self-empty station. It cleans on a schedule, maps your home with a laser, and empties its own dust bin so you aren't carrying a full bin to the rubbish after every run. eufy positions it for homes with carpet and pets.

Twin-turbine suction

The X8 Pro has two turbines, each rated at 4,000 Pa, which eufy markets as 2 x 4,000 Pa. Pascals measure suction pressure, and in general a higher figure helps pull dirt from carpet fibres, though brush design matters as well. eufy says the twin-turbine design easily removes pet hair from deep within carpets.

The tangle-free roller brush

Pet and long hair wrap around roller brushes, and untangling them is one of the more tedious jobs with a robot vacuum. The X8 Pro's roller brush has a Pro-Detangle Comb, which eufy says automatically removes entwined hair after every clean. That should cut how often you need to cut hair off the brush by hand, though it is still worth checking the brush now and then.

The self-empty station

When a run finishes, the dust bin is emptied automatically into the station's 2.5 L bag. eufy says dust and debris are sealed inside and the bag only needs replacing about every 45 days (an estimate that depends on how much you vacuum and how dirty the floors are). The robot's own bin is small, so a station like this is what lets it run several times a week without attention.

Mapping and control

iPath Laser Navigation builds a precise map of your home, tracks cleaning routes and avoids obstacles. In the app, AI.Map 2.0 lets you set No-Go Zones, virtual boundaries and other cleaning preferences, so the robot can skip a pet bowl area or a room with loose cables.

Size

The robot measures 13.9 x 13.9 x 3.9 inches (about 35 x 35 x 10 cm), and the listing gives a weight of 20.0 lb (about 9 kg). A height of 3.9 inches means it may fit under some furniture, but measure the gap under your sofa or bed to be sure.

What to check before you buy

  • Floor types: confirm how it handles your mix of carpet, rugs and hard floors; this model is a vacuum, not a mop.
  • Furniture clearance: measure the space under low furniture against the 3.9-inch height.
  • Station placement: the station needs a wall-side spot, a power outlet and open floor in front.
  • Replacement parts: check bag, filter and brush replacement in the manual.
  • Home network: confirm the app works with your Wi-Fi setup.
  • Floor tidy-up: clear cables and small items before each run, as the manual advises.
