The VEVOR RWS-UL is a rear wheel stand for motorcycles. It lifts the back of the bike off the ground so you can clean and lube the chain, remove the rear wheel, change the oil, or leave the bike parked without the tyre sitting under load. VEVOR lists compatibility with Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda and Kawasaki machines, among others.

Capacity and tyre size

The stand is rated at 850 lb (390 kg), which is the limit for the stand itself and says nothing about your own bike's weight. It is compatible with tyres up to a 13.4 inch radius, according to VEVOR. In general, check your bike's weight and rear tyre size against these figures, and remember that a stand lifts only part of the bike's weight.

Two sets of fork heads

The stand comes with both U-shaped and L-shaped fork heads, so it can work with different swingarm designs:

  • U-shaped fork: adjustable from 9.3 to 14.2 inches (235 to 360 mm).
  • L-shaped fork: adjustable from 9.5 to 13.4 inches (240 to 340 mm).

The L-shaped fork has a thick rubber sleeve that VEVOR says protects the swingarm from scratches. Many bikes have spool mounts (small bobbins) on the swingarm for this type of stand, and the listing refers to a swingarm spool. If your bike has neither spools nor a suitable lifting point, check the bike's manual first.

Steel build and stability

The stand is made of heavy-duty steel with a triangular support structure, which VEVOR says resists deformation and gives strong stability. Precision locking slots help lock the parts together for a secure fit.

Casters and lifting

Four polypropylene (PP) casters and an extended handle let you roll the stand into position and lift the bike by pushing down on the handle. VEVOR says it lifts the bike in two to three seconds. Rolling the stand while the bike is on it, or leaving the bike on it in a shared space, is not recommended, so follow the manual.

Assembly

VEVOR says no tools or special expertise are needed: the locking slots hold the pieces in place. Check each connection before every lift.

Who it suits

It suits home mechanics who do their own chain care, tyre changes and maintenance, riders who lay up a bike over winter, and anyone who wants to keep the tyre off the floor. It is not a substitute for a centre stand or for correct jack points if your bike has specific requirements.

What to check before you buy

  • Mounting points: confirm that your bike's swingarm has spools, or fits the U or L fork heads.
  • Swingarm width: compare the swingarm measurements to the adjustable ranges of both forks.
  • Tyre radius: make sure your rear tyre falls within the 13.4 inch radius.
  • Weight: check the bike's weight against the stand's limit, and use a level, firm surface.
  • Safety: follow the manual, keep the bike stable on the stand and never work under it unsupported.
