The VEVOR electric hydraulic jack is a 5-ton, 12V kit that combines a car jack, an electric impact wrench and a tyre inflator. It is meant for changing a wheel at the roadside or in a home garage, with less cranking and less effort than a manual jack.
Lifting capacity and range
VEVOR rates the jack at 5.0 tons (11,023 lb) with a lifting range of 6.1 to 17.7 inches (155 to 450 mm). The capacity is for the jack, not a single axle, and a vehicle's weight is only partly carried at each lift point, so a 5-ton capacity gives plenty of headroom for most cars, SUVs and light trucks. The brand says it reaches maximum height in about 2 minutes and stops automatically at the top. It must be used on a flat, firm surface.
Impact wrench
The kit includes an electric impact wrench with a maximum torque of 450 N·m. An impact wrench delivers short rotational blows, which breaks loose tight lug nuts more easily than a hand wrench. Two sockets cover four lug nut sizes: 17 and 19 mm, and 21 and 23 mm. You choose the matching socket and hold the power button. Always tighten wheel nuts to the torque in your vehicle's manual, typically finishing with a torque wrench.
Built-in tyre inflator
An inflator pump is built into the unit. Hidden compartments hold the inflation tube and needles, and a display shows tyre pressure as you pump. This is useful for topping up a soft tyre on the road.
Power and lighting
The jack runs from a 12V cigarette lighter socket or directly from the car battery, using a 13-foot (about 4 m) power cord. VEVOR includes three spare fuses with TUV certification. An LED light helps when working in the dark. Check whether your vehicle's socket is rated for the current the kit draws.
Size and weight
The unit measures 12.2 x 6.1 x 6.1 inches (about 31 x 15.5 x 15.5 cm) and weighs 18 lb (about 8.2 kg), which is easy to carry in a boot or trunk.
Using it safely
A jack is for lifting, not for holding. Never get under a vehicle supported only by a jack; use properly rated jack stands, chock the wheels, apply the parking brake and follow the manual and your vehicle's recommended jacking points.
Who it suits
It suits drivers who want an emergency kit for tyre changes, people with limited strength or mobility who find manual jacks hard work, and home mechanics doing wheel and tyre swaps. It is not a substitute for a workshop lift.
What to check before you buy
- Ground clearance: confirm that your vehicle's lowest lift point is at least 6.1 inches (155 mm), or that it clears the jack's minimum height.
- Lug nut sizes: check that your nuts match the 17, 19, 21 or 23 mm sockets.
- Power source: make sure the 12V socket or battery connection reaches your wheels with the 13-foot cord.
- Lift points: find the correct jacking points in your manual.
- Stands: buy rated jack stands for any work under the vehicle.
