The VEVOR ST01 is a foldable steel cart for moving large flat sheets such as drywall (plasterboard), plywood, glass and stone slabs. Carrying a full sheet by hand is awkward and tiring. A panel dolly holds it on edge and lets you wheel it across the floor.
How a panel dolly works
The sheet stands on its long edge on a deck and leans back against a frame. In this design, VEVOR describes a 15° tilt on the base that keeps material from slipping. Rubber guards protect panels from scuffs. A 9.8 ft (about 3 m) lashing strap is included to hold the cargo against the frame.
Load capacity
VEVOR rates the cart at 1,800 lb (about 816 kg). In practice the limit you meet first is usually how many sheets you can stack safely and how well the load is secured, not the cart's stated capacity. Keep loads centred and low, and follow the manual.
Deck and handle
The deck expands from 27.6 to 32.7 inches (about 70 to 83 cm), which lets it take wider panels. The handle has three height settings, 35.4, 39.4 and 43.3 inches (about 90, 100 and 110 cm). A higher handle suits taller people or tall loads, and VEVOR says this reduces bending and strain.
Casters and brakes
The four 5 inch polypropylene casters swivel 360°, so the cart can turn in tight spaces and corridors. Two of the casters have brakes for loading and unloading. Hard floors such as tile, concrete and wood are typically the easiest surfaces for casters this size, while gravel and rough ground make rolling harder.
Build and storage
The frame is carbon steel with a baked finish, which VEVOR says resists rust and bending. The cart assembles in two steps without tools. Assembled, it measures 39.4 x 27.6 x 43.3 inches and weighs 40.1 lb (about 18.2 kg). Folded, it measures 39.4 x 27.6 x 11 inches, about 0.7 square metres of floor space, so it can lie against a wall or in a truck bed.
Who it suits
It suits contractors, renovators and warehouse staff, and DIYers working on a basement or a kitchen. Window and door installers can use it for glazing units, and people moving doors or stone countertops can use it too. VEVOR positions it for both home projects and commercial jobs.
What to check before you buy
- Panel size: check that your sheets fit the deck width, and the height of your largest panels against the handle.
- Floors: casters of this size suit smooth floors. Think about thresholds, steps and ramps on your route.
- Weight of the load: panels like glass or stone can be very heavy. Plan your lifts and use help where needed.
- Securing: use the strap on every load and set the brakes when loading.
- Doorways: measure the doors and corridors the cart has to pass through.
- Upkeep: wipe the frame, check the casters and brakes, and follow the manual.
