The VEVOR SS-PAC04A is a portable high-pressure air compressor for filling PCP (pre-charged pneumatic) air rifles, paintball tanks and scuba-style bottles. It reaches 4500 PSI (30 MPa, about 300 bar) and runs from household power or a car battery.

What 4500 PSI means

Most PCP air rifles are filled to somewhere between about 200 and 300 bar, and paintball tanks have their own limits. Check the working pressure marked on your cylinder before you fill. Do not exceed the figure printed on it. The compressor's maximum is a ceiling, not a target.

Filling speed and auto-stop

VEVOR says it fills a 1.0 L cylinder from 0 to 300 bar in about 25 minutes. The speed depends on cylinder size and starting pressure. When it reaches the preset pressure the compressor stops on its own, and the display shows "E4" to tell you filling is done.

Displays

A dual display shows pressure and temperature as it runs. Watching temperature is useful because compressing air to this pressure generates a lot of heat.

Two cooling systems

A 12,500 rpm cooling fan blows air across the unit, and a water tank on top holds coolant that you add before use. VEVOR says the two together boost efficiency. The manual specifies which coolant to use and how to top it up.

Power options

A built-in 600W power converter lets it run from an AC120V outlet at home or a 12V car battery outdoors. Running from a battery draws heavily on it, so follow the manual on connections and engine running.

Mechanism and size

VEVOR says a linkage structure replaces the traditional cam design, giving strong performance, lower noise, better heat dissipation and durability. The unit measures about 13.0 x 7.7 x 11.8 inches (33 x 20 x 30 cm) and weighs 23.5 lb (about 10.7 kg), so it can be carried to a field or range.

Who it suits

Owners of PCP air rifles and paintball equipment who would rather fill at home than travel to a refill station. Compressed air at this pressure is hazardous if mishandled, so read the manual, check cylinder test dates and follow local rules.

What to check before you buy

  • Fittings: confirm the output connection matches your rifle or cylinder, using adapters where needed.
  • Working pressure: know your cylinder's working pressure and test date.
  • Power source: check your outlet or battery setup.
  • Coolant and upkeep: plan for coolant and any air filtration the manual recommends.
  • Noise and heat: use it somewhere well ventilated.
  • Rules: check local laws on air guns and compressed air cylinders.

The short version

  • Portable PCP compressor rated to 4500 PSI (30 MPa).
  • Auto-stop at the preset pressure, with "E4" shown when done.
  • Dual displays for pressure and temperature.
  • Water and fan cooling.
  • Runs on AC120V or 12V, about 23.5 lb.
