The VEVOR RYTC0073 is a panel dolly, a low wheeled carrier for flat, heavy sheets. Drywall, plywood, doors and glass panels are awkward and heavy to carry by hand, and a dolly takes the weight so one person can move them. VEVOR rates this model at 600 lbs and fits it with large pneumatic wheels.
How a panel dolly works
The panel sits on edge or flat on the frame, and an adjustable side panel holds it in place. You tilt the dolly back and roll it, with the wheels carrying the load. The aim is less lifting, less strain and fewer damaged corners. Panel dollies are common among drywall installers, carpenters, event crews and warehouse staff.
The 600 lb capacity
VEVOR lists a load capacity of 600 lbs. Drywall sheets vary: a 4 x 8 foot sheet of half-inch board weighs somewhere around 50 to 60 lb, so a stack of several will be well inside this limit, though it may be hard to balance. Weigh the load you expect and stay inside the limit, spread evenly. Larger loads also become unstable on slopes or uneven ground.
Adjustable side panel
The side panel adjusts from 0 to 9 inches. At 0 it sits flat for a single sheet, and at the upper end it makes room for a stack of up to 9 inches thick. VEVOR lists gypsum board, door material and other panels as suitable. Stacks should be held snugly so they don't slide as you move.
8-inch pneumatic wheels
The wheels are 8-inch pneumatic tyres. Air-filled tyres typically roll over cracks, gravel and thresholds better than small hard wheels, and they absorb shock. VEVOR describes the ride as quiet and stable and calls it all-terrain. Pneumatic tyres do need the right pressure, so check them from time to time, and they can puncture, unlike solid ones.
Materials and finish
The frame is alloy steel with galvanizing and a sprayed plastic coating, which VEVOR says protects against rust, ageing and splashes. This suits use on building sites and in garages. The dolly measures 16.2 x 19.3 x 11.4 inches and weighs 16.8 lb, so it is compact enough to keep between jobs and carry in a vehicle.
Who it suits
It suits renovators, trades, event and venue staff who set up panels or display boards, and warehouse workers. VEVOR's list of uses includes factories, hotels, banquet halls and conference centres. For occasional jobs, one dolly can save considerable effort. For very long runs over stairs, a different tool may fit better.
What to check before you buy
- Load weight: estimate your heaviest stack and stay within 600 lb.
- Panel thickness: make sure stacks fit within the 9 inch side panel range.
- Route: check doorway widths, thresholds and ground type.
- Tyre care: pneumatic wheels need inflation checks and a plan for punctures.
- Assembly: check what is in the box and whether tools are needed.
- Handling: secure tall loads and use a helper on slopes.
