The VEVOR ST6 630 is a wall-mount steel electrical enclosure measuring 24 x 24 x 12 inches. It houses controls, terminals and other electrical equipment, and keeps them protected from dust, splashing water and casual contact. It is meant for both indoor and outdoor installations.
Construction
The box is welded carbon steel, 0.059 inch (1.5 mm) thick, with an epoxy polyester powder coating that VEVOR says resists corrosion and wear. It weighs 47.1 lb (about 21 kg) and its outside size is 24 x 24 x 12 inches (about 61 x 61 x 30 cm). The weight reflects the amount of steel, which is why a sturdy wall or frame is needed to hold it.
Door, lock and hinges
The door is hinged, with reinforced hinges that VEVOR says withstand repeated opening and closing. The lock has a metal core, which VEVOR describes as built to stand up to force. A copper core spring is mentioned as easing the opening and closing action. A rubber sealing strip runs around the door and is intended to keep out dust, rain and snow.
Reading the protection classes
The listing is not consistent here. The title mentions NEMA 4X and IP66, while the feature text and description say IP65. IP codes are the international scale for protection against dust and water: the first digit covers solids, the second covers liquids, and higher numbers mean more protection. NEMA types are a North American system that also covers factors such as corrosion. A NEMA 4X enclosure is typically expected to be corrosion-resistant, and stainless or non-metallic types are often used for that, while a painted carbon steel box is a different construction. Check the marking on the product and the supplier's documentation for the class that applies to your installation, and don't assume one from another.
Inside the box
A removable galvanized mounting back plate, 2 mm thick, lets you fit components outside the enclosure and then install the panel. An earthing screw is provided for grounding. On the back are four mounting holes for fixing the box to a wall.
Where it's used
VEVOR lists factories, construction sites, malls, squares, residential areas and courtyards, indoors or out. Typical contents include contactors, breakers, relays and control wiring.
Who it suits
It suits electricians, installers, and facilities teams who need a roomy box for an equipment panel or a junction point. Anyone planning to wire it should follow local electrical codes and the manual, and mains wiring is a job for a qualified electrician where required.
What to check before you buy
- Protection class needed: confirm the NEMA or IP class your site requires against the product's own documentation.
- Size: check the internal space for your parts, plus clearance for wiring bends and heat.
- Weight: with 47.1 lb, confirm the wall or post can carry the box and its contents.
- Entries: plan cable glands or conduit holes so the seal isn't weakened.
- Grounding: connect the earthing screw as local codes and the manual require.
- Lock and keys: check what keys and hardware are included.
The short version
- A 24 x 24 x 12 inch carbon steel enclosure with a powder-coated finish.
- Hinged door with metal lock and rubber sealing strip.
- Removable galvanized mounting plate and four wall-mount holes.
- Listed as IP65 in the features and as NEMA 4X/IP66 in the title, so verify the class.
- Follow local electrical codes and the manual for installation.
