Garvee's clamp-on debris forks are an attachment that turns a loader bucket into a fork for moving pallets, logs, brush and similar loads. They slide over the cutting edge of a 60-inch bucket and clamp in place, so they can go on and come off without welding or permanent changes. They're meant for tractors, skid steers and other loaders on farms, in warehouses and on work sites.
What the attachment is for
Debris forks, sometimes called grapple or pallet forks, hold a load that a flat bucket would let slide or spill. Garvee lists uses including loading and unloading, stacking, short-distance transport of palletized loads, hauling logs, lumber and firewood, moving fence posts and hay bales, and clearing debris and brush. The tines let small material fall through while holding the larger pieces.
Size and fit
These forks are made for a 60-inch bucket. Garvee gives the dimensions as 31 inches long and 58 inches wide, with six fork tines; the overall packaged size is 59.1 x 33.1 x 7.1 inches and the weight is 110.8 lb (about 50 kg). Bucket width and the shape of the cutting edge both matter, so measure before you order.
Capacity
The listed capacity is 4,000 lb. That figure is a limit for the attachment, not for your machine. A loader's own rated operating capacity, its stability and the load position all affect what is safe to lift, so the lowest of those limits governs. Follow the operator's manual for both the machine and the attachment.
Steel and finish
Garvee says the forks are made from Q235 steel, a common structural carbon steel grade, with a gloss black powder-coated finish. Powder coating is a baked-on layer that typically resists corrosion and fading better than ordinary paint, though chips still need touching up if bare steel is exposed.
Clamping and bolts
Installation works by sliding the forks over the bucket's cutting edge and tightening the clamps. Garvee says it upgraded the bolt design and used thickened bolts for a reliable clamp and to reduce the risk of accidental detachment. Bolts on clamp-on attachments can loosen with vibration, so it's standard practice to check their tightness before each use and again after the first hours of work.
Who it suits
This attachment suits owners of compact tractors and skid steers who want one bucket to do two jobs, as well as farms and small yards that move palletized goods, firewood and brush. It's less suited to heavy continuous pallet handling, where a dedicated frame-mounted fork is common.
What to check before you buy
- Bucket width: confirm that your bucket is 60 inches and that the cutting edge fits the clamp.
- Machine capacity: compare the 4,000 lb listing figure with your loader's rated limits.
- Clamp points: check the bucket's lip thickness and shape against the clamp design.
- Tine spacing: consider the loads you'll handle, such as pallets or loose brush.
- Visibility and operation: think about how the forks change sight lines and balance.
- Upkeep: check bolts and the finish regularly, and follow the manual.
- What's in the box: confirm the clamps and hardware are included.
