The Garvee 11 in 1 is a swing-away heat press with a 12 x 15 inch platen, supplied with a set of attachments for mugs, caps, plates and more. It is meant for people who make custom T-shirts, mugs and gifts at home or in a small workshop, and who want one machine that covers several kinds of transfer work.

What a heat press does

A heat press holds a transfer against a blank item with steady heat and pressure for a set time. With sublimation, special ink printed on transfer paper turns to gas and bonds with polyester fabric or coated hard surfaces. Garvee says the machine handles sublimation and similar transfers on textiles such as cotton, flax, nylon and other synthetic fibres, plus ceramics and glass. As a general rule, sublimation works best on light-coloured polyester or specially coated items, so check what your blanks are made of.

The 360° swing-away design

The heating plate swings fully around and away from the lower platen. This keeps the hot element out of the way while you position a shirt or peel off a transfer, and it lowers the chance of touching it by accident. Garvee also describes a guide-rail design, adjustable height and a multi-spring pressure knob. Turning the knob changes the pressure to suit thick items such as hoodies or thin flat pieces, so the two plates meet evenly.

Digital controls

The control box has a large display for temperature and time:

  • Temperature range of 0-482°F (0-250°C).
  • Timer range of 0-999 seconds, with a sound alarm when time is up.
  • A counting function and quick switching between three modes.
  • Heating stops once the preset temperature is reached.

Garvee says a dual-channel circuit, designed to UL standards, holds temperature to within about plus or minus 5 degrees, with a 10A relay as a second control channel. In general, tight temperature control matters because sublimation results depend on the right heat for the right time.

What comes in the 11 in 1 package

Garvee lists these items:

  • The 12 x 15 inch T-shirt press.
  • A hat press.
  • Mug presses: two 11 oz, one 6 oz, one 9 oz and one 12 oz cone.
  • An aluminium bottle heating pad and a shoe press.
  • Two flat presses (8 and 10 inch).
  • Adhesive tape, 20 sheets of sublimation paper, two thermal insulation pads, a screwdriver and a manual.

The brand also mentions two Teflon sheets to protect clothing.

Size and weight

The listed dimensions are 12 x 12 x 15 inches, and the weight is 43.8 lb (about 19.9 kg). It is a bench machine rather than a portable one, so plan a sturdy, heat-tolerant surface with room for the arm to swing.

Who it suits

It suits hobbyists, small online sellers and craft groups who want to try several product types without buying separate machines. It needs a sublimation printer, ink and suitable blanks, which are not part of this package.

What to check before you buy

  • Printer and ink: confirm you have, or can get, a sublimation printer and compatible paper.
  • Blanks: check that shirts, mugs and plates are polyester or sublimation-coated.
  • Power: check the voltage and plug type against your outlet, and read the manual.
  • Workspace: allow space for the 43.8 lb machine and the swinging arm.
  • Attachments: check that the mug sizes you use match the ones supplied.
  • Safety: the plates get very hot; follow the manual and keep children and pets away.

  • Adjustable height and a spring pressure knob.
