Creality Large 3D Printer Enclosure (700 x 750 x 900 mm): features and fit

Creality's large 3D printer enclosure measures 700 x 750 x 900 mm with a viewing window and flame-retardant fabric. Here is what it does and which printers fit.

The Creality large 3D printer enclosure is a fabric-and-frame cover that surrounds an FDM printer. It is meant to keep the air around the print steadier, keep dust off the machine and give you a window to watch the job. At 700 x 750 x 900 mm (about 27.6 x 29.5 x 35.4 inches), it is sized for larger printers such as the Ender 3 family.

Why an enclosure helps

FDM printers melt plastic and lay it down layer by layer, and many filaments are sensitive to draughts and cool rooms. Creality says the enclosure keeps a constant-temperature printing environment, reducing the effect of cold weather or air conditioning on the model. In general, a steadier ambient temperature helps the first layer stick to the bed and reduces warping, where corners of a print lift as the plastic cools unevenly. Creality also lists improved printing stability and fewer problems such as uneven surfaces.

An enclosure is not a heated chamber. It holds the warmth the printer itself gives off, so results will vary with the room and the filament.

Materials and protection

The cover is made from flame-retardant aluminium foil cloth. Creality describes it as fire-resistant, high-temperature resistant, corrosion-resistant, waterproof and dustproof, with an outer fabric that does not leak. Keeping the printer enclosed also stops dust settling on the machine and on the print. Treat the fire resistance as a material property, not a substitute for sensible practice: never leave a printer running unattended without following the printer maker's guidance and local safety rules.

Window and tool bag

A large transparent window lets you watch the print without opening the cover. A tool bag on the side keeps spatulas, nozzles and other small accessories close at hand.

Frame and assembly

The frame is made of iron pipe. Creality says the enclosure assembles and comes apart without extra tools, following the installation manual, and folds for storage. That is handy if you need your desk back between projects.

Compatibility

Creality says it suits most FDM printers and names Ender-3, 3S, 3 Pro, 3 V2, 3 Max, 3 S1, 3 S1 Pro and 3 S1 Plus, Ender 5, 5 Pro and 5 Plus, Ender 6 and 7, and the CR-6 SE and CR-10 series, including CR-10 Pro and CR-10 Smart Pro. The key is to compare your printer's full footprint, including the moving bed, spool holder and any cables, with the interior space.

What to check before you buy

  • Measure the printer at its widest, deepest and tallest point, with the bed at full travel, and compare it with 700 x 750 x 900 mm.
  • Where the filament spool will sit, and how the cables and power supply will exit.
  • Floor or table space for the footprint of about 27.6 x 29.5 inches.
  • Ventilation needs for the filaments you use; check your printer's manual for advice on fumes and heat.
  • Power-supply placement, keeping it clear of fabric where the manual says so.

The short version

  • A 700 x 750 x 900 mm fabric enclosure on an iron pipe frame.
  • Designed to hold a steadier temperature around the print and keep dust off.
  • Flame-retardant aluminium foil cloth, large window and side tool bag.
  • Assembles without tools and folds for storage, per Creality.
  • Listed as compatible with many Ender and CR-series printers.
