The Super Flower Leadex Titanium SF-1600F14HT is a 1,600-watt ATX power supply for desktop PCs. It is built for systems with power-hungry graphics cards and processors, and it follows the newer ATX 3.1 standard with native 16-pin cabling for current high-end GPUs. Here is what its main specs mean in practice.

What 80 PLUS Titanium means

80 PLUS is a certification programme that measures how efficiently a power supply turns wall power into the DC power a PC uses. Titanium is the top tier. Super Flower lists efficiency of 90% at 10% load, 92% at 20% load, 94% at 50% load and 90% at 100% load of the rated output.

In general, higher efficiency means less energy is lost as heat, so the unit has less to shed and the fan has less work to do. It also reduces the electricity drawn from the wall for a given PC load, though the difference depends on how hard the PC works and for how long.

ATX 3.1 and the 12V-2x6 connector

The listing says the unit complies with ATX 12V v3.1 and v3.0, and it comes with two native 12V-2x6 cables (2x8-pin to 16-pin). That connector is the 16-pin power plug used by many recent high-end graphics cards, replacing the need for adapters. ATX 3.x supplies are designed to cope with the short power spikes modern GPUs can produce.

Whatever the connector, it should be pushed in fully and the cable routed without sharp bends close to the plug. Follow both the graphics card maker's and the power supply's manuals.

Fully modular cabling

All cables detach from the unit. You connect only what the build needs, which usually means less clutter, easier routing and better airflow through the case. Super Flower describes this as a way to simplify cable management. The trade-off is that you need to check the box contents against your parts list, since a cable you need may have to be sourced separately.

Voltage regulation, protections and cooling

Super Flower lists voltage regulation of ±1% on the 12 V, 5 V and 3.3 V rails. Tight regulation means the voltages stay close to their targets as load changes.

Protections listed include over-voltage, over-current, over-power, short-circuit, under-voltage and over-temperature protection, plus surge and inrush protection. A 140 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan, described in the description as a two-way thermal control fan, handles cooling, and the unit has an ECO mode. In general, ECO modes let the fan stop or slow at low loads, which reduces noise when the PC is idle or lightly used.

The unit accepts 115V to 240V input with active PFC (power factor correction), so it can be used in most regions with the right power cord.

Size and weight

The unit measures about 8.7 x 5.9 x 3.4 inches (22 x 15 x 8.6 cm) and weighs 9.9 lb (about 4.5 kg). That is longer than many standard supplies, so check case clearance, especially in compact cases or ones with a drive cage behind the power supply bay.

Who it suits

A 1600W supply is aimed at workstations, multi-GPU setups and high-end gaming builds. The listing says it supports NVIDIA SLI and AMD CrossFire configurations. A typical single-GPU PC needs far less, and a supply running at a modest share of its capacity is not necessarily more efficient than a smaller one.

What to check before you buy

  • Real power needs: add up the maximum draw of your CPU, GPU and other parts, and leave headroom.
  • Case fit: confirm the case supports ATX power supplies of about 8.7 inches in length, with space for cables behind it.
  • Connectors: check that the graphics card, motherboard and drives all have matching cables in the box.
  • Outlet and circuit: a 1600W unit can draw a lot at full load. Make sure the wall circuit can handle it.
  • Warranty and support: the listing title mentions a 10-year warranty. Read the terms from the brand.

The short version

  • 1,600W, fully modular ATX 3.1 power supply, model SF-1600F14HT.
  • 80 PLUS Titanium, with efficiency listed at 90% to 94% across load points.
  • Two native 12V-2x6 (16-pin) cables for recent graphics cards.
  • 140 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan with ECO mode, ±1% voltage regulation and a full set of protections.
  • About 9.9 lb and 8.7 inches long, so check your case first.
