The Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro (model D2151) is a portable cinema package: a 4K triple-laser projector, a 120-inch inflatable screen and four wireless speakers. It is meant to move between the living room and the backyard without separate equipment.
What is in the system
The listing describes a "mobile 120-inch theatre system" containing the projector, a silent inflatable screen, wireless 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos speakers, dual microphones and a retractable power cable. One note matters: the projector and screen are dispatched separately, so the listing asks buyers to check for both deliveries.
What the picture specs mean
Soundcore rates the projector at 3,500 ANSI lumens, 110% Rec.2020 colour and a 56,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. ANSI lumens measure brightness: more light generally lets the image stand up to ambient light, which is why Soundcore says it works from dusk, without waiting for full dark. Rec.2020 is a wide colour standard used for 4K HDR, and a triple-laser light source uses separate red, green and blue lasers, which is how projectors reach wide colour. Contrast figures like this are typically measured by the maker under their own conditions.
The listing also says a firmware update on first use expands the dynamic contrast engine to five levels and adds a real-time iris control, for deeper blacks, particularly in Dolby Vision. A system update to Android 14 is recommended too, to reduce lag.
The inflatable screen
The 120-inch screen is inflated by a wireless battery pump in about five minutes. Soundcore says its air-tight design means the pump doesn't run during the show, hence "silent". For outdoor use it comes with guy ropes, ground stakes and two water bags (maximum load 20 kg).
Wind is the main limit for any inflatable screen. Follow the manual's guidance on anchoring, and take the screen down in strong gusts.
Sound
Four battery-powered speakers provide 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos, which means seven surround channels, one subwoofer channel and four height channels. Soundcore quotes 400W total power and 8 hours of speaker runtime, and the speakers connect wirelessly, so they can be placed freely.
Setup features
Soundcore says setup takes about five minutes. Features include IEA 5.0 one-touch image fitting, autofocus, keystone correction and a 25° micro gimbal. Together these aim to align and focus the picture on the screen automatically, which spares you from nudging the projector by hand.
Who it suits
It suits people who want a large-screen setup for movie nights, sports or gaming and who value being able to pack it away or use it outdoors. A fixed room with a permanent screen is a different need, and a lower-profile projector may be enough there.
The listed packed dimensions are 54 x 43 x 84.5 inches, so the system is a sizeable item, and storage matters.
What to check before you buy
- Space: make sure a 120-inch screen and speaker positions fit the room or garden.
- Outdoor conditions: check wind, ground surface, power access and local rules on noise.
- Light: ambient light still affects any projector's picture.
- Power and charging: speakers, the pump and projector all need charging or a socket.
- Updates: plan time for the firmware and Android updates on first use.
