The GMKtec NucBox M7 Pro is a small-form-factor desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 6950H processor. It is meant for people who want a capable computer that takes little desk space, whether for everyday work, light gaming, or as a home server or router.

Processor and graphics

The Ryzen 9 PRO 6950H has 8 cores and 16 threads and runs at up to 4.9GHz. Graphics come from the integrated AMD Radeon 680M with 12 compute units, so no separate graphics card is needed. GMKtec says its performance is close to that of a GTX 1050 Ti and that it supports FSR 3.0 upscaling. In general, integrated graphics of this class handle esports titles and many newer games at modest settings, and they are not a match for a modern dedicated card.

Memory and storage

The listing gives 32GB of DDR5-4800 RAM as two 16GB modules in dual channel, expandable to 96GB. Storage is a 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 SSD, and GMKtec says the two storage slots can take two PCIe 4.0 drives of 2TB each, up to 4TB. Upgrades aren't included.

Ports and displays

Two USB4 ports with video output and an HDMI 2.1 port let you connect up to four screens at once, according to GMKtec. The HDMI port is rated for up to 8K at 60Hz, and the Type-C DisplayPort output for 4K at 144Hz. The listing also names Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

OCuLink is a port that carries PCIe lanes over a cable. GMKtec says it runs at PCIe x4, compared with x3 for Thunderbolt in this context, which can mean better performance and lower latency when you connect an external graphics card. It needs a separate dock and graphics card, which are not included.

Dual 2.5G network ports

The two Intel i226V 2.5Gbps ports are useful beyond ordinary internet access. GMKtec mentions firewall, multichannel aggregation, soft routing and file storage server uses. These roles need suitable software and some setup knowledge.

Cooling and power modes

The Hyper Ice Chamber 2.0 design uses larger top and bottom fans with a copper base, and GMKtec says noise drops to 35dB in Quiet mode. The BIOS offers three modes: Quiet at 35W, Balance at 50W and Performance at 65-70W. Auto Power On and Wake-on-LAN are included. The system comes with Windows 11 Pro.

Who it suits

It suits home offices, multi-monitor desks, small home-lab builders, and anyone who wants an upgradeable compact PC with room to grow.

What to check before you buy

  • Monitors and cables: check which video ports and cables your screens use.
  • Peripherals: the listing doesn't mention a keyboard or mouse, so confirm what's in the box.
  • External graphics: if you want OCuLink, check the dock and card you'd pair with it.
  • Upgrades: check the memory and SSD types before buying parts.
  • Noise and heat: performance mode will run the fans harder than Quiet mode.
  • Support and warranty: read the seller's terms.
