The eufy Security Video Doorbell S330 (model E8203) is a wired doorbell with two cameras, 2K video and a chime. It replaces a standard doorbell and shows you who is at the door, and what is on the doorstep, from your phone. It connects to existing doorbell wiring rather than running on a battery.
Two cameras, one doorstep
A typical doorbell camera looks straight out at about face height, which can leave the ground at your feet out of view. The S330 adds a second, low-angle camera. eufy Security says this eliminates blind spots and keeps the doorstep, including parcels, in full view. If you have ever missed a package on the floor in a doorbell's field of view, you can see the point.
Delivery Guard
Delivery Guard is a feature that uses the cameras to notify you when a package arrives. eufy Security says it also sends pick-up reminders and alerts when someone approaches the package. As with any feature built on detection, results depend on installation height, angle and lighting, so check the settings in the app.
3-second preview videos
When the doorbell records an event, a short preview shows the three seconds before it was triggered. The idea is to see how a visitor approached rather than only the moment they arrived.
2K video with HDR
2K resolution gives more detail than 1080p, which helps identify visitors. HDR (high dynamic range) combines exposures so that bright and dark areas both stay visible. This matters at a front door, where a visitor may stand with the sun behind them. eufy Security says backlit visitors appear in clear colour.
Wired power and local storage
The listing specifies 16-24V and 30VA, which refers to the doorbell transformer that powers the unit. Check your existing transformer's output before buying, because an older or lower-rated one may not suit. The listing also says the doorbell does not support HomeBase, eufy's separate hub, so it is designed to work without one. Recordings go to local storage, and eufy Security says there is no subscription fee.
The unit is about 6.2 x 2.0 x 1.1 inches and weighs 0.4 lb. Compare that against the space beside your door and your existing chime.
Electrical work should follow the manual and local codes. Switch off the power at the breaker before removing an existing doorbell.
Who it suits
It suits households with existing doorbell wiring who want a camera at the door, particularly those who receive deliveries and want a view of the ground as well as the visitor.
What to check before you buy
- Wiring and transformer: confirm you have doorbell wiring that meets 16-24V and 30VA.
- Chime: check how it works with your existing indoor chime.
- Mounting: look at the width of your door frame and the mounting angle.
- Wi-Fi: the signal needs to reach the front door.
- Privacy: follow local rules on recording visitors and neighbours.
- Hub: it doesn't support HomeBase.
