The ECO-WORTHY 25A is a two-in-one unit: it charges a 12 V LiFePO4 battery and also converts that battery's power into household-style AC. It is designed for RVs, camps, off-grid cabins and backup power. This page explains the main specs and the checks to make before connecting it.
Charger and inverter in one box
A charger turns mains power into the DC that fills a battery. An inverter does the opposite, turning battery DC into AC for appliances. ECO-WORTHY combines both. The charger delivers 25 A to a 12 V LiFePO4 battery, and the inverter provides 600 W continuous with a 1200 W peak, with conversion efficiency above 90%, according to the brand. The brand says that is enough for items like a microwave oven or computer, but add up the wattage of what you plan to run, including start-up surges.
What pure sine wave means
Pure sine wave output closely resembles grid power. Many electronics, motors and sensitive devices run more smoothly on it than on a modified sine wave, which is a rougher approximation. ECO-WORTHY says its pure sine wave output provides stable power that protects devices.
UPS backup
The unit has a UPS function: if mains power drops, it switches to inverter mode within 20 ms. A switchover that fast is typically quick enough for many computers and electronics to keep running, though sensitive equipment varies. Check the manual for what it can cover.
Lithium battery charging
LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries have a battery management system (BMS) that can shut the battery down to protect it. The charger has a 0 V charging mode that the brand says can reactivate a battery that has dropped to protection. It uses a three-stage charging process and then trickle charging to maintain battery health. Only use it with the battery chemistry and voltage the manual specifies.
Cooling and protection
The cooling fan starts when the unit's temperature goes above 45°C or when AC current exceeds 2.5 A. Error LED indicators and a buzzer give warnings. Listed protections are high and low voltage, overload, overcurrent, over-temperature and output short circuit.
Size
It measures about 11 x 5.7 x 2.7 inches and weighs 3.9 lb, so it fits on a shelf or a wall inside an RV or utility space. Leave room for airflow.
What to check before you buy
- Battery type and voltage: it is for 12 V LiFePO4; confirm your battery and its BMS.
- Load: the combined wattage of your appliances against 600 W, and their start-up surge against 1200 W.
- Wiring: cable gauge, fuses and connections should match the manual. A qualified electrician should do mains or permanent wiring, in line with local codes.
- Charging current: check that 25 A suits your battery's recommended charge rate.
- Ventilation and noise: the fan will run under load.
- Mains input: confirm the voltage and frequency match your supply.
