The Blackview MP80 is a mini desktop computer about the size of a coaster. It uses an Intel N95 processor with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 512GB SSD, and it is aimed at home offices, study set-ups and general everyday computing. Here is what that hardware means in practice.
The Intel N95 processor
The N95 is a 12th-generation Intel "Alder Lake-N" chip, a low-power design intended for small, cool-running computers. Blackview says it delivers about 35% faster CPU performance and 78% faster graphics than the N100 and N5105 chips it compares against. Chips in this class are typically well suited to documents, web browsing, video calls and media playback, rather than heavy video editing or demanding games.
The listing says the computer comes with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and also supports Linux and Ubuntu, PXE network boot, wake on LAN, RTC wake and automatic power-on after a power cut. Those last features matter mostly to people who run the machine unattended.
Memory and storage
The MP80 has 16GB of DDR5 memory at 4800MHz. Blackview says DDR5 is about 35% faster than DDR4 and uses roughly 25% less power. For everyday multitasking, such as a browser with many tabs, a spreadsheet and a video call, 16GB is typically comfortable. The 512GB SSD gives quick start-up and file access, and it is sufficient for most documents and a moderate media library.
Ports and multiple screens
Blackview lists three HDMI ports, three USB 3.0 Type-A ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, an audio in/out jack and a DC power jack. It says the three HDMI outputs can drive three 4K displays at 60Hz, which is useful for spreadsheets, trading screens or keeping reference material open beside your work. Integrated graphics have limits, so smooth output on three large screens at once will depend on what you are displaying.
Dual Ethernet ports are less common on small PCs. They suit uses such as connecting to two separate networks, or building a small home server or router-style set-up.
Size and mounting
The unit measures about 3.45 x 3.45 x 1.46 inches and weighs 7.5 oz. A VESA mounting bracket is included, so it can be fixed to the back of a compatible monitor and take up no desk space at all.
What is in the box
According to the listing, the package contains the mini PC, a 39.3-inch HDMI cable, a power adapter, a user manual and the mounting bracket. Blackview says a two-year warranty applies.
Who it suits
It suits people who want a small, quiet computer for office work, study, light media use or a second machine behind a monitor. It is also a tidy choice for a shared family computer or a compact workstation with several screens.
What to check before you buy
- Workload: the N95 is a low-power chip. Check it matches the software you plan to run.
- Displays: confirm your monitors have HDMI inputs and that the cable lengths reach.
- Peripherals: you will need a keyboard, mouse and screens; none are included.
- Network: the dual Ethernet ports are only useful if your set-up needs both.
- Mounting: check that your monitor has VESA holes and enough room behind it.
- Warranty: read the terms and how to claim.
