The Blackview MP20 is a small desktop computer that measures about 3.9 x 3.9 x 1.4 inches (10 x 10 x 3.5 cm) and weighs around 265 g. It is meant for everyday home and office work, media streaming and video calls, and it can sit behind a monitor or on a shelf where a tower would never fit.
What the Intel N150 processor brings
The MP20 uses an Intel N150 chip from the Twin Lake family, with four cores and a turbo speed of up to 3.6 GHz, according to Blackview. Chips in this class are designed to be energy-efficient rather than fast at heavy jobs. In general, that means they handle web browsing, office documents, video playback and several open apps comfortably, while demanding work such as large video edits or modern 3D games is better left to more powerful hardware.
Graphics come from Intel UHD, built into the processor. Blackview says it supports two 4K displays.
Memory and storage
The configuration has 8GB of DDR4 memory and a 256GB SSD. An SSD usually means quick start-up and fast app loading compared with a spinning hard drive. For a machine used mainly for browsing, documents and streaming, 8GB is typically workable, though people who keep dozens of browser tabs open may want more.
Storage can grow. Blackview says the base comes off without tools, so you can add a 2.5-inch SSD or hard drive of up to 2TB. External drives can also connect over USB.
Dual-display output and Windows 11 Pro
Two video outputs, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort, let you drive two 4K monitors at once. Blackview also lists a full-featured USB-C port. Whether that port carries video depends on the implementation, so confirm it if you plan to use it that way.
The computer ships with Windows 11 Pro, which Blackview says can be downgraded to Windows 10. The Pro edition adds business features such as BitLocker drive encryption and remote desktop hosting.
Connectivity
Wireless support is WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Blackview quotes WiFi speeds of up to 9.6 Gbps, which is the standard's theoretical maximum across all channels; real-world speeds depend on your router and home network. There is also a Gigabit Ethernet port, which is usually the steadier choice for video calls and large downloads. USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 ports cover keyboards, mice and storage.
Size, noise and mounting
Blackview rates operation at under 38 dB, which is quiet enough that most people would barely notice it in a home office. A VESA mount is included, so the PC can be fixed to the back of a compatible monitor or TV. The company says setup takes under 30 seconds once you plug in power, a display and a keyboard.
Who it suits
It suits people who want an uncluttered desk, a simple computer for the family, a media centre for a TV, or a second machine for light office tasks. It is less suited to gaming, 3D design or heavy video work.
What to check before you buy
- Workload: confirm that a four-core, low-power processor with 8GB of memory covers the programs you use.
- Displays: check that your monitors have HDMI or DisplayPort inputs, and the cables you need for 4K.
- Storage plans: if you want an internal drive upgrade, check the size and connector it accepts before you buy one.
- Peripherals: a keyboard and mouse are not mentioned in the contents; the listing names an HDMI cable, power adapter, VESA accessory and guidebook.
- Model naming: the listing refers to both MP20 and MP60 in places, so check the model on the box matches what you expect.
- Warranty: Blackview states a 24-month warranty; read the terms for what it covers.
