The Blackview MP20 is a very small desktop computer built around Intel's N150 processor. It comes with 16GB of RAM, a 512GB M.2 SSD and Windows 11 Pro installed, and it is aimed at office work, home use and light entertainment. Here is what the specs mean and what it can reasonably be expected to handle.

Size and mounting

The MP20 measures about 10 x 10 x 3.5 cm (0.32 litres) and weighs 265g. A VESA mount is included, so it can sit behind a monitor or TV and leave the desk clear. For anyone short on space, that is the main appeal of a mini PC over a tower.

The Intel N150 processor

The N150 is a low-power Intel "Twin Lake" chip with a boost speed of up to 3.6GHz, which Blackview positions as a step up from the N95, N97 and N100. Chips in this class are typically suited to everyday tasks: browsing, documents, video calls, streaming and multitasking across several windows. Blackview also says it can handle simple games. Heavy video editing, 3D work or demanding games are generally beyond this kind of processor.

Memory and storage

The 16GB of RAM gives room to keep many browser tabs and office documents open together. The 512GB M.2 SSD stores the system and files, and Blackview says storage can be expanded up to 2TB; the extra SSD is not included. Check the manual for the type of drive it accepts before ordering one.

Connectivity and ports

Wireless is Wi-Fi 6 with Bluetooth 5.2, and there is a Gigabit Ethernet port for a wired connection. Blackview lists 10 ports in total, including:

  • 2 x USB 3.0 and 2 x USB 2.0
  • Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45)
  • HDMI and DisplayPort, for dual 4K display capability
  • 3.5mm audio jack

Two video outputs make a two-screen desk possible, which is useful for office multitasking.

Windows 11 Pro

The PC ships with Windows 11 Pro, which adds business-oriented features over the Home edition, such as additional management and security options. Blackview presents it as suitable for business, office and home use.

In the box and support

The package contains the mini PC, an HDMI cable, a power adapter, VESA mounting parts and an operation guide. Blackview lists a 36-month warranty and support by email, live chat or phone; check the terms that apply where you live.

Who it suits

It suits home offices, reception-desk machines, media-centre duty and anyone replacing an old desktop with something much smaller. It is less suited to people who need a dedicated graphics card.

What to check before you buy

  • Workload: confirm your software runs well on an entry-level processor.
  • Displays: check that your monitors have HDMI or DisplayPort inputs, and that you have cables for a second screen.
  • Peripherals: you need your own keyboard and mouse.
  • Storage: plan ahead if you want to add an SSD, and confirm its compatibility.
  • Power: it uses an external adapter, so allow for an outlet near the mounting spot.

  • 36-month warranty listed by Blackview.
