The VEVOR S19-001A is a hand-push lawn sweeper. As you walk, its wheels turn two brushes that flick leaves, grass clippings and small twigs into a hopper bag. It needs no engine or battery, which makes it a simple way to clear a lawn, driveway or path.
How a push sweeper works
The wheels drive the brushes through gearing. VEVOR lists a brush-to-wheel ratio of 5:1, meaning the brushes turn five times for every turn of the wheels. In general, a faster brush speed throws debris into the bag more energetically. The 9.8 inch (25 cm) wheels roll over uneven ground, and a sweeper works best when pushed at a steady walking pace.
Sweeping width and the hopper
The sweeping width is 21 inches (53.5 cm). VEVOR says it can pick up 80% of the debris in one pass, with thickened, denser brushes meant to keep their shape. The hopper bag is nylon with a 3.5 cubic foot capacity, which is intended to cut down on emptying. It lifts off the frame so you can tip it out.
Adjustable brush height
Brush height adjusts by hand with a knob, without tools. This matters because the right setting depends on the surface: brushes typically need to touch lightly on a smooth driveway, and sit a little higher over a lawn to avoid tearing at the grass. VEVOR says it suits sidewalks, driveways, yards and gardens.
What it picks up
The brand lists leaves, small twigs and grass clippings, and calls them dry debris. Wet leaves, heavy branches and thick thatch are generally harder for any push sweeper, so let a lawn dry before sweeping.
Assembly and storage
Quick clips on both sides help with installation and storage. The sweeper can sit in a shed or hang on a garage wall, and support feet let it lean on a wall without tipping. It measures 44.1 x 26.4 x 35.4 inches (112 x 67 x 90 cm) assembled and weighs 14.3 lb (6.5 kg). The frame is painted iron, with PP and PVC parts, and the package contains one lawn sweeper.
Who it suits
It suits owners of small to mid-sized lawns, people who prefer a quiet, fuel-free tool, and anyone clearing leaves from hard surfaces as well as grass.
What to check before you buy
- Lawn size: a 21-inch width means more passes on a large lawn than a wider unit would need.
- Terrain: slopes, bumps and tight beds can make pushing harder.
- Debris type: confirm it suits what falls in your yard, such as pine needles or nuts.
- Storage: measure your shed or wall space against the assembled size.
- Upkeep: brushes wear over time and the bag needs shaking out and checking for wear. Look in the manual for replacement details.
