The VEVOR Portable Volleyball Net System is a complete outdoor set for backyard, beach or park games. It includes a 32-foot net, steel poles, a ball, a pump and a carry bag, so you can set up a court without extra gear. Here is what is in it and how the features work.

Adjustable height for different games

Volleyball nets are set to different heights depending on the game. VEVOR says this set can be adjusted to 7.4 feet for official women's matches, 7.8 feet for coed games and 8 feet for men's tournaments. That also makes it easy to set the net lower for casual family games or younger players, within the adjustment range in the manual.

The net

The net is 32 feet long and 3 feet high, the standard size for a full volleyball court. VEVOR describes it as 21-layer PE material with 1.5-inch top and bottom tapes and a wider 4-inch side sleeve for stability. The fabric is described as waterproof, which suits outdoor use. PE (polyethylene) is a common synthetic net material that resists moisture, though prolonged sun and rain wear any net over time.

Poles and stability

Six powder-coated steel poles, 1.25 inches thick, make up the frame. VEVOR says the thicker poles add stability outdoors. Powder coating gives the steel a protective finish against rust. Four guy ropes with four 8-inch metal stakes anchor the structure, and a separate boundary line comes with four more stakes. Stakes grip well in soft ground such as grass or sand; on hard surfaces you'll need another way to secure the poles.

Setting up

The poles use an interlocking design that VEVOR says needs no tools. The set also includes a user manual and a 600D carry bag, which makes it practical to move to a park or beach. The listing gives the packed weight as about 12.4 lb.

What is in the box

  • 1 standard 32 x 3 ft volleyball net
  • 6 powder-coated steel poles
  • 1 PU volleyball
  • 1 ball pump with 2 needles
  • 4 guy ropes with 4 metal stakes (8 inches long)

Who it suits

It suits families, friends and groups who play on grass, sand or other soft ground and want a net they can set up and take down quickly. It's a recreational set. Formal competition usually has its own equipment requirements, so check the rules of any league before using it there.

What to check before you buy

  • Space: a full court is about 18 x 9 metres (59 x 30 feet), plus room around it. Confirm your area is big enough.
  • Ground: the stakes work best in soft ground; think about how you'll anchor on hard surfaces.
  • Height: decide which of the three heights you'll use most.
  • Ball: a PU ball is included, but players who want a specific type may prefer their own.
  • Storage: the net and poles pack into the carry bag; allow somewhere dry to keep it.
  • Weather: take the net down in strong wind and let it dry before storing.
