The VEVOR JH-202 is a portable volleyball set for backyards, parks and beaches. It includes a full-size net, six steel poles, a ball, a pump and a carry bag, so it covers the basics of a game in one package. The poles are adjustable to the heights used in official play.
Net height settings
Volleyball nets are set at different heights depending on the game. VEVOR lists three:
- 7.4 feet for official women's matches
- 7.8 feet for official coed games
- 8 feet for official men's tournaments
The adjustable height means one set can serve mixed groups and different ages, and it also lets you lower the net for casual play. Check the manual for how to change the setting.
The net
The net measures 32 feet long by 3 feet high (about 9.8 x 0.9 metres). VEVOR says it is made of 21-layer PE material with 2-inch top and bottom tapes and a wider 4-inch side sleeve for stability. The brand also describes the fabric as waterproof, intended to cope with hard hits outdoors. Even so, it is sensible to take any net down after play and dry it before storing, as the manual advises.
Poles and stability
The set has six powder-coated steel poles. VEVOR says the poles are 1.5 inches thick and built for stability in outdoor conditions. Four guy ropes with 8-inch metal stakes anchor the structure, which matters on open ground and in wind. VEVOR says assembly uses an interlocking design and needs no tools.
What's in the box
- 1 volleyball net, 32 x 3 feet
- 6 powder-coated steel poles
- 1 PU volleyball
- 1 ball pump with 2 needles
- 4 guy ropes with four 8-inch metal stakes
- 1 boundary line with 4 metal stakes
- 1 user manual
- 1 portable 600D carry bag
The boundary lines and stakes help mark out a playing area, and the bag makes transport and storage easier. The packed weight is 14.8 lb (about 6.7 kg).
Where it works best
Grass, sand and packed earth can all take stakes, which suits lawns, beaches and parks. Hard surfaces such as concrete or decking won't take them, so the set would need another way of anchoring. The listing's dimensions show about 32 feet of net length, so a full-size court needs a lot of room. For a backyard, allow space around the net for players to move.
Who it suits
It suits families, friend groups and clubs that want a movable volleyball setup for casual or practice games, and people who play in several places and want it to fit in a car boot.
What to check before you buy
- Space: measure the area for a 32-foot net plus run-off for players.
- Ground: confirm the surface takes the 8-inch stakes.
- Height: choose the setting that suits your group's age and level.
- Wind and safety: keep the guy ropes tight and visible, and follow the manual's setup steps.
- Ball: check that the included ball suits the way you play.
- Storage and care: let the net dry before packing it away.
