The VEVOR FlashPure HCP750A-F combines a pool pump and a 16-inch filter tank in a single unit. It is designed for above-ground pools, and it arrives with its filter media already inside, so setup is mostly attaching hoses. A built-in timer lets it run on a schedule without anyone switching it on.

Pump and filter in one unit

Pool filtration has two jobs: a pump moves the water, and a filter takes the debris out of it. Many setups use separate components. Here they are joined in a one-piece design, which VEVOR says reduces leak risk when the system is taken apart and put back together, and eases routine maintenance. That matters if you drain and pack away your pool at the end of each season.

Flow rate and head

The 1 HP motor is rated at up to 4,400 GPH (gallons per hour), with a maximum head of 43 ft. Flow is how much water moves, and head is how high the pump can push it against resistance from pipes, fittings and the filter itself. Real flow is lower than the maximum once hoses and the filter are in the circuit. VEVOR says the unit suits multiple above-ground pools. A common rule of thumb is to circulate the full pool volume at least once a day, so compare the pump's real flow with your pool's capacity.

The filter media

Instead of silica sand, VEVOR uses filter balls, and says they are easier to replace and filter faster and more thoroughly. The brand quotes "6X" faster filtration than standard silica sand. This is VEVOR's own comparison, and the actual effect depends on the pool, flow and water conditions. The media comes pre-installed, so no sand needs to be bought or poured into the tank.

Timer and modes

A built-in 24-hour timer supports continuous and single-cycle modes. You can schedule filtration for set periods and it runs automatically, which suits pools where the pump is run for part of the day rather than around the clock.

Setting it up

VEVOR describes setup as a quick assembly, followed by hose connections. As with any pool equipment, the manual covers hose sizes, priming, the valve positions and backwashing. Place the unit on a firm, level surface, close to the pool but out of reach of splashing, with proper ventilation around the motor.

Size and weight

The unit measures about 23.4 x 20.5 x 25.0 inches (59 x 52 x 64 cm) and weighs 37.9 lb (about 17.2 kg) according to the listing.

Who it suits

It suits owners of above-ground pools who want a simple, ready-to-run filtration system without separately sourcing a pump, tank and media.

What to check before you buy

  • Pool size: check your pool's volume against the stated flow and the manual's guidance.
  • Hose and fittings: confirm connection sizes match your pool.
  • Electrics: pool equipment needs proper outlet protection (such as a GFCI) and correct wiring, so follow local codes and the manual, and use a qualified electrician where needed.
  • Maintenance: ask how often the media should be replaced and how the unit is backwashed.
  • Storage: check the manual for winterizing and draining.
  • Placement: keep the unit on solid ground and protected from rain where possible.
