Jackery HomePower 3000 Power Station: 3072Wh, 3600W specs and who it suits

A 3072Wh LiFePO4 portable power station with 3600W output, 7200W surge, UPS switching of 20ms or less and an RV port. What the specs mean for home backup.

The Jackery HomePower 3000 (model JHP-3000C) is a large portable power station: a battery with built-in inverter that supplies household-style AC power as well as USB and DC outputs. Jackery positions it for home backup during outages, for RVs and for outdoor use. Here is what the numbers mean.

Capacity and output

Two figures matter most. Capacity is 3072Wh (watt-hours), the amount of energy stored. Output is 3600W, with a 7200W surge, which is the power it can supply at once. The output tells you which appliances can run together, and the capacity tells you for how long.

As a rough rule, runtime in hours is capacity divided by the load in watts, less some inverter losses. Jackery says the unit can power a household's essentials for up to 15 hours and keep a refrigerator running for 1 to 2 days. Those are brand estimates, and actual times depend on what is connected.

UPS switching

The listing describes a UL-certified UPS function that switches in 20ms or less. A UPS (uninterruptible power supply) takes over when mains power fails, so connected devices such as routers, computers, security cameras and pet feeders keep running. Check the manual for how to connect it in this mode.

Ports

Jackery lists AC, USB-C, USB-A and DC outputs. Two 100W PD USB-C ports charge phones, tablets and laptops, and a built-in TT-30 RV port allows plug-and-play connection to many RVs. High-draw items such as space heaters or hair dryers can approach the output limit quickly, so add up your loads first.

Recharging

The brand quotes these charging times:

  • About 1.7 hours using hybrid AC and DC input
  • About 2.2 hours using AC alone
  • Up to 80% in 9 hours with two SolarSaga 200W panels (sold separately)

The unit also accepts a 12V car charger and a gas generator. Solar panels are optional, as the listing notes.

Battery chemistry and technology

The pack uses LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) cells. Jackery rates them at 4,000 cycles while keeping 70% capacity. LiFePO4 is generally known for long cycle life and thermal stability. ChargeShield 2.0 is the brand's name for AI-assisted charging algorithms that it says improve charging speed and extend battery life.

Size and weight

Jackery says it uses CTB (cell-to-body) technology, making it smaller and lighter than comparable 3kWh models by its own comparison. It measures 16.4 x 12.8 x 12.0 inches and weighs 59.5 lb (about 27 kg). That's portable, but two-handed carrying, or a cart, is sensible. The honeycomb-style bottom shell is designed for strength and stability.

Who it suits

It suits homeowners in outage-prone areas who want to run essentials such as a fridge, lights and Wi-Fi, RV owners who need a large battery with a TT-30 port, and campers or work sites that need silent power with no fuel. It does not connect to a home's electrical panel by itself, so ask a qualified electrician about any home wiring.

What to check before you buy

  • Your loads: list the appliances, their wattage and the hours you need, then compare with 3600W and 3072Wh.
  • Plugs and voltage: confirm the outlets match your appliances and the RV connection you need.
  • Solar: panels are optional and sold separately; check the input specs before pairing.
  • Weight and storage: plan where you'll keep and move a 59.5 lb unit.
  • Incentives and rules: the listing mentions a tax credit; check current local rules and eligibility yourself.
  • Safety: follow the manual on ventilation, temperature and connection.

The short version

  • A 3072Wh LiFePO4 portable power station with 3600W output and 7200W surge.
  • UPS switching in 20ms or less, dual 100W PD ports and a TT-30 RV port.
  • Recharges in about 1.7 hours with hybrid AC and DC input.
  • Rated at 4,000 cycles to 70% capacity.
  • 16.4 x 12.8 x 12.0 inches and 59.5 lb; solar panels sold separately.
