The AFERIY P210 (model AF-P210) is a portable power station: a large battery with an inverter and a panel of outlets, built to run appliances away from the grid. With 2048Wh of capacity and a 2400W inverter, it is aimed at home backup during outages, camping and off-grid work.
What 2048Wh and 2400W mean
Two numbers describe a power station. Capacity (watt-hours) says how much energy is stored. Inverter output (watts) says how much it can supply at once. At 2048Wh, a 100W load could in theory run for around 20 hours, though real runtime is lower because of conversion losses. The 2400W inverter, with a 4800W peak for short surges, can start many appliances that draw a spike on startup, such as fridges and power tools. Always add up the wattage of what you plan to run and check it stays under the continuous output.
AFERIY says the unit has a pure sine wave inverter, which gives a smooth, steady AC waveform similar to mains power and is generally better for sensitive electronics.
LiFePO4 battery chemistry
The battery is lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP). AFERIY quotes 3,500+ cycles and a 10-year life. In general, LFP cells tolerate many charge cycles and are known for stable chemistry compared with other lithium types, though they are somewhat heavier for their capacity. AFERIY lists the weight as 54 lb (it also gives 48.5 lb or 22 kg for its battery configuration), with dimensions of 15.4 x 11.0 x 12.7 inches.
Charging options
The listing gives 1100W AC charging and up to 500W solar charging. Solar panels are optional and sold separately. The package includes an AC charger and an MC4-XT90 cable. Faster input shortens the time to refill the battery, which matters when using it as backup power.
UPS function
AFERIY says the station switches to battery in under 10ms, which it calls server-level UPS behaviour. A UPS (uninterruptible power supply) keeps equipment running through an outage. Check whether the switchover is quick enough for your equipment, such as a desktop computer, and read the manual for any load limits.
Ports
The listing says it supports up to 16 devices at once: 6 AC outlets, 2 USB ports, 4 USB-C ports (20W and 100W), 2 DC5521 ports, a car charging outlet and an XT60 port.
Noise and app
AFERIY says noise is below 30 dB at full load and 16 dB under normal load. The AFERIY app lets you manage energy use and set automation.
What's in the box
Power station, AC charger, MC4-XT90 cable, dust cover, wire pouch and user manual. AFERIY also mentions an extended 7-year warranty; check the terms before relying on it.
Who it suits
It suits households wanting backup for essentials, campers and van users who need a quiet source of power, and anyone with a solar setup who wants storage.
What to check before you buy
- Your loads: add up running watts and starting surges of the appliances you want to power.
- Weight: at about 54 lb, it is portable but not light.
- Solar: panels are optional, so check their voltage and connector match.
- Home backup: do not connect it to household wiring without a qualified electrician and follow local electrical codes.
- Safety: follow the manual on ventilation, storage and charging temperatures.
The short version
