The iScooter E9PRO is a folding electric scooter with a 350W motor, built for short commutes, campus trips and getting around town. It weighs 26 pounds, which is light for a scooter of this type, and folds to fit in a car boot. Here is what the main specs mean.
Motor, speed and hills
iScooter lists a 350W motor, a top speed of 15.6 mph (about 25 km/h) on a straight road and the ability to climb 15% grades. A motor's rated watts is generally a guide to its torque and sustained output, though real hill performance depends on rider weight, the slope's length and battery charge. The maximum rider load is 220 lb (about 100 kg).
Battery and range
The battery is 36V and 7.5Ah, which works out to roughly 270 watt-hours. iScooter quotes a maximum range of 12 to 18 miles (about 19 to 29 km), with a full charge taking four to six hours. Quoted ranges usually come from ideal conditions, with a lighter rider, moderate speed and flat ground. In practice, hills, cold weather, stop-and-start riding and higher speeds typically cut range, so plan your route with margin.
Tyres and ride comfort
The scooter has 8.5-inch pneumatic tyres, which the brand says make for a comfortable ride on rough surfaces. Air-filled tyres absorb bumps better than solid ones, but they can puncture and need occasional pressure checks. iScooter positions the scooter for commuting across cities, campuses and offices.
Braking and lights
There are two braking systems: a disc brake and EABS regenerative anti-lock braking, where the motor slows the scooter and feeds a little energy back. Lighting includes an ultra-bright headlight, listed with a reach of up to 15 metres, and a warning taillight. Lights help you be seen; they don't replace a helmet and careful riding, so wear protective gear and follow local rules on where electric scooters may be ridden and who may ride them.
App control
Through the KCQ app, connected by Bluetooth, you can lock and unlock the scooter, switch the lights on and off, change gears, choose between zero-start and non-zero-start modes, and set cruise control. Zero-start means you need to kick off before the motor engages; non-zero-start means it engages from a standstill.
Folding and carrying
iScooter says it folds in about three seconds. At 26 lb (about 11.8 kg), carrying it up a flight of stairs or onto a train is possible, though you will notice the weight over longer distances. The listed dimensions are 43 by 6 by 21 inches.
Warranty
The brand offers 12 months or 180 days of coverage depending on the part.
Who it suits
It suits adults and teens on short, mostly flat commutes who need something light enough to carry and keep indoors. It is less suited to long trips, steep terrain or riders near the weight limit.
What to check before you buy
- Local rules: check where e-scooters are legal, along with any age, speed and helmet requirements.
- Your route: compare the quoted 12-18 miles with your real distance, hills and weather.
- Weight limit: confirm that the 220 lb maximum rider load suits you.
- Storage and carrying: can you carry 26 lb and fit the folded size in your space?
- Charging: plan for four to six hours and a safe place to charge, and follow the manual.
- Tyre care: pneumatic tyres need pressure checks and the occasional repair.
