The BLUETTI AC300 and B300 is a modular power system. The AC300 is a 3000W inverter and control unit, and the B300 is a LiFePO4 battery module that it draws on. Together they supply 3072Wh of storage, aimed at home backup, RVs and vanlife. Here is what the numbers mean.
Inverter and battery as separate units
In many portable power stations, the inverter and battery are a single box. BLUETTI separates them here. The AC300 handles conversion and ports, with 3000W of AC output and a 6000W peak, while the B300 holds the energy. BLUETTI says additional B300 packs connect to the AC300 to raise capacity up to 12,288Wh. This lets you start with one battery and add more later.
What 3072Wh and 3000W mean
Watt-hours measure how much energy is stored, and watts measure how much can be delivered at once. As a rough guide, a 100W device could run for many hours on 3072Wh, while a heavy appliance near 3000W would drain it in about an hour. Real runtimes are lower than the maths suggests because of conversion losses. Check the wattage of the appliances you plan to run, and note that the peak figure covers short surges, such as a motor starting.
LiFePO4 chemistry
The battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4). This chemistry is typically valued for a long cycle life and for stability. Exact cycle counts are not given in the listing, so check BLUETTI's specification sheet.
Ports
BLUETTI lists 16 ports. They include a NEMA TT-30 outlet for travel trailers, a 30A RV port, AC outlets at up to 3000W, USB-A, 100W USB-C, a wireless charging pad and a car port.
Recharging
The brand says it can charge in under 1.5 hours from a 30A AC cable (not included), or take dual input from 2400W of solar plus 1800W of AC, up to a 3000W maximum. Solar input depends on your panels, their voltage and sunlight conditions.
Home backup
BLUETTI describes a 24/7 UPS mode, where the system ties to your home grid so it can power your home during a blackout. The listing states that only a licensed electrician can install this setup. Follow local electrical codes, the manual and your utility's rules.
Size and weight
Dimensions are about 20.5 x 12.5 x 14.1 inches, and the weight is 47.6 lb. That is transportable but not something to carry far, so it suits a fixed spot in a van, trailer or home.
In the box
BLUETTI lists the AC300, a B300 expansion battery, a 15A AC charging cable, a multifunctional DC charging cable, a car charging cable, a manual and a 4-year warranty.
Who it suits
It suits people who want a growing power system for outages, an RV or a van build, and who are happy to size it to their appliances. A single compact power station may be enough for lighter needs.
What to check before you buy
- Your loads: add up the running and surge watts of what you want to power.
- Runtime: divide the usable watt-hours by your load, and allow for losses.
- RV connection: confirm the outlet type your trailer needs.
- Charging sources: check your AC outlet, any 30A cable, and solar panel specs.
- Home backup: use a licensed electrician.
- Weight and space: the unit weighs about 47.6 lb, so plan where it sits.
The short version
