The VEVOR DT-C1130 is a countertop food display for buffets, parties and catering. It holds one stainless steel pan under a clear lid, with a water pan underneath, so food can stay warm with hot water or cool with ice. It suits setups where food sits out for a while.
How the warm and cool functions work
The unit has no heating element or cooling system. VEVOR says that you add hot water, ice trays or ice cubes to keep food at the right temperature. Hot water in the lower pan warms the food tray above it, and ice does the opposite job. This is simple and works away from a power outlet, but the effect fades as the water cools or the ice melts. Check the time food has been out and its temperature, following the usual food-handling guidance for your area.
Pans and materials
Both the food tray and the water pan are food-grade stainless steel, and VEVOR says they are detachable for easy cleaning and reassembly. Stainless steel is typically easy to wash and doesn't absorb flavours. A 1 x 1 pan layout means a single pan, which suits one dish at a time, such as salads, desserts, sushi or condiments.
Clear lid
The lid is made of polycarbonate (PC), a tough clear plastic. It rolls back for access, so guests can see the food and reach it, and VEVOR says it seals tightly to keep out dust. Polycarbonate can scratch if cleaned with abrasive pads, so follow the manual's cleaning advice.
What is included
The set includes three ice trays and an 11-piece sushi set. The sushi set is aimed at presentation and serving. The unit measures 21.5 x 14.4 x 9.6 inches (about 55 x 37 x 24 cm) and weighs 8.2 lb (about 3.7 kg), so it's light enough for one person to move.
Where it suits
VEVOR lists restaurants, hotels, kitchens, family meals, parties, picnics, barbecues and camping. Indoors, it fits a buffet table or a bar counter. Outdoors, it keeps dust and insects off the food, although direct sun and heat will shorten how long ice lasts.
Who it suits
It suits caterers, small restaurants, party hosts and families who entertain, and anyone who wants a tidy way to serve cold dishes or hold a warm one. It's less suited to foods that need active cooking temperatures held for a long time, since there's no powered heat.
What to check before you buy
- Pan size: the unit has one pan, so check it holds your dishes and the quantity you serve.
- Counter space: measure the table or counter, allowing for the roll-back lid.
- Hot water or ice supply: plan how to refill the water pan or ice trays during the event.
- Food safety: follow local food-handling guidance for holding hot and cold food.
- Cleaning: check what the manual says about washing the lid and pans.
- Drainage: think about where melted ice will go, and keep the unit level.
