The VEVOR Commercial Electric Deep Fryer is a countertop fryer with two separate stainless steel tanks, each with its own basket and heating element. It is aimed at delis, concession stands, snack bars and busy party kitchens, where one batch of oil is rarely enough. Running two tanks lets you cook different foods at the same time without mixing flavours.
Two tanks, two kinds of food
Each tank holds up to 11.6 Qt (11 L) of water, and VEVOR rates the oil capacity at a maximum of 8.5 Qt (8 L) per tank. The "water capacity" is the brim-full volume of the tank; the lower oil figure is the amount you would actually fill to, which leaves room for the food and for bubbling. Keeping the two tanks apart is useful when, for example, one side is for chips and the other for breaded items, or when one side needs to stay free of allergens or strong flavours. Separate oil also means you can change one tank without throwing out the other.
Heating and temperature control
VEVOR fits dual heating elements, which it says bring the oil up to temperature in a short time. In general, higher wattage means shorter recovery between batches, which matters when you drop cold food into hot oil and the temperature dips. The thermostat covers 122°F to 392°F (50-200°C), a range that takes in gentle holding temperatures as well as typical frying temperatures. A built-in timer helps you pull baskets at the right moment.
As a protection, VEVOR says the unit shuts off automatically if the temperature rises above 446°F (230°C) or if the temperature controller fails.
Handles, lid and draining
A coated, cool-touch handle makes the baskets easier to lift, and the fitted cover is designed to keep hot oil splashes down. A front hook lets you hang a basket over the tank to drain off oil before serving. Always keep the lid and your hands clear of hot oil and steam, and follow the manual's guidance on safe handling.
Cleaning and oil changes
The heating tube flips upward so you can reach the tank floor, which makes cleaning after each use simpler. The stainless steel exterior wipes down easily, and each tank has a front-mounted drain valve so oil can be released without lifting the whole unit. Let oil cool fully before draining it into a suitable container.
Size, weight and power
The fryer measures about 20.5 x 22.4 x 14.0 inches (52 x 57 x 36 cm) and weighs 34.8 lb (about 15.8 kg), so it needs a sturdy, level, heat-resistant counter. With 3000W in total across two plugs, VEVOR advises using separate socket plates for each plug. It also reminds users to peel off any white plastic protective film and to make sure the machine is clean, cool and dry before filling.
Who it suits
It fits small food businesses, community events, sports clubs and large households that regularly cook for a crowd. For occasional cooking for two or three people, a single-tank fryer would be easier to put away and needs far less oil, so consider how often you'd fill both tanks.
What to check before you buy
- Electrical supply: the unit has two plugs, so confirm you have two suitable outlets on separate circuits, and check local requirements for commercial cooking equipment.
- Counter space and strength: about 35 lb empty, plus the oil, and it needs clearance around it for heat and steam.
- Ventilation: frying produces fumes and grease; check what your kitchen or venue requires.
- Oil volume: two tanks of up to 8.5 Qt each means a lot of oil to buy, filter and dispose of.
- Upkeep: plan for regular draining, filtering and cleaning, and follow the manual.
- Rules for selling food: if you plan to use it commercially, check local food-safety and fire rules.
