The VEVOR 24L Commercial Electric Deep Fryer is a countertop fryer with two separate stainless steel tanks and 3000W of total heating. It is aimed at delis, snack bars, concession stands and parties, where two foods need frying at once without sharing oil.

Two tanks, two kinds of food

Each tank is rated at 9.1 qt (8.6 L) of water capacity, with a maximum oil fill of 6.3 qt (6 L). The water figure is the full volume of the tank; the oil figure is the level you should not exceed. Two tanks let you fry, for example, fish in one and chips in the other, so flavours do not carry over. VEVOR also describes the arrangement as useful for different foods at different times.

Heating and temperature control

Dual heating elements are meant to bring oil to temperature quickly. The thermostat adjusts from 122°F to 392°F (50 to 200°C), which covers most common frying jobs; many fried foods are cooked in the region of 170 to 190°C. On higher-powered electric fryers, oil recovers faster after cold food goes in, which helps keep results crisp rather than greasy.

Overheat protection

VEVOR says the fryer shuts off automatically if the temperature passes 446°F (230°C) or if the temperature controller fails. Treat it as a backstop, not a replacement for watching hot oil. Keep water away from hot oil, and follow the manual.

Handles, lids and draining

The coated cool-touch handles are designed for comfortable handling, and the lid reduces splashes of hot oil. A hook on the front lets you hang a basket to drain before serving. Even so, hot oil calls for care: use the basket handles, keep a clear space around the unit and keep children away.

Cleaning

The components, including the oil tank, lift out, so you can empty and wash each part separately. The stainless steel exterior wipes down. The brand's reminders are to peel off any white plastic protective film before use and to make sure the unit is clean, cool and dry before storing.

Size and power

The fryer measures about 17.7 x 21.3 x 11.8 inches (45 x 54 x 30 cm) and weighs 19.9 lb (about 9 kg). VEVOR advises plugging the two plugs into separate wall sockets rather than one plate-type outlet strip, to reduce the chance of an unexpected power loss.

Who it suits

It fits small food businesses, community events and keen home cooks who regularly fry for a crowd. For occasional family cooking, a single-tank unit may be enough.

What to check before you buy

  • Electrical supply: the unit has two plugs and 3000W in total, so confirm your outlets and circuits can handle it, and follow local codes and the manual.
  • Commercial use: if you plan to use it in a business, check any local food-service and fire rules.
  • Counter space: you need heat-resistant, stable space with clearance around it.
  • Oil: check the maximum fill line and how you will filter, keep and dispose of used oil.
  • Capacity: each tank's 6 L oil limit decides how much food you can fry in a batch.
  • Upkeep: check how the manual says to clean and dry the parts.
