The VEVOR XXQPJHS is an electric meat cutting machine for kitchens that prepare meat in volume. A motor drives stainless steel blades that cut boneless meat into slices, strips or cubes. It is aimed at restaurants, butcher shops and busy home cooks.

Motor and throughput

The motor is rated at 850W and 1440 r/min, and VEVOR says it can process 250 kg (551 lb) of meat per hour. That is a maximum figure under ideal conditions, so everyday output will vary with the meat, how it is prepared and how often you stop to clear it.

How the cuts work

The blade cuts at 3.5 mm. VEVOR describes a three-pass method:

  • the first pass gives slices;
  • a second pass, with the meat turned, gives strips;
  • a third pass gives cubes.

Repeating the steps lets one setup produce different shapes. The blade is detachable for replacement. A fixed 3.5 mm spacing is good for stir-fry, hot pot and dumpling fillings, but you cannot adjust it for thicker cuts.

What it can cut

The brand says it suits any meat without bones that is not frozen, such as chicken, fish, mutton and beef. That is typical of this kind of cutter: bones and frozen blocks can jam or damage the blades. Partly chilled, firm meat usually cuts more cleanly than very soft meat.

Build and handling

The body and blade are stainless steel, which VEVOR says resists rust and corrosion and wipes clean easily. A transparent PC cover lets you watch the cutting, and the shell is red plastic. A large feeding throat takes big pieces, a single knob controls operation, and four rubber feet keep it steady on the bench.

Size

It measures about 14.0 x 9.0 x 18.0 inches (36 x 23 x 46 cm) and weighs 40 lb (about 18 kg). Plan for a sturdy, dry counter near an outlet.

Who it suits

VEVOR lists homes, butcher shops, hotel kitchens, barbecue restaurants, dumpling houses and hot pot restaurants. Home users who only prepare meat occasionally may find a knife quicker than cleaning a machine.

What to check before you buy

  • Cut size: 3.5 mm is the only blade thickness.
  • Meat type: boneless and unfrozen only.
  • Hygiene: follow the manual and local food-safety rules for cleaning, and keep raw meat apart from other foods.
  • Safety: keep hands out of the throat, use the pusher if the manual supplies one, and unplug before cleaning.
  • Power and space: check the outlet and counter strength.
  • Spare blades: check how replacement blades are obtained.
