These VEVOR interlocking tiles are modular PVC mats designed to sit above a wet floor. Each tile is 12 x 12 inches (30 x 30 cm) and has drain holes, so water runs through to the floor beneath instead of pooling on the surface. A set contains 50 tiles, enough to cover roughly 50 square feet (about 4.6 square metres) when laid edge to edge.

How drainage tiles work

The tiles stand on raised support pins, which VEVOR upgraded to 0.6 inch (15 mm). The pins hold the walking surface above the floor and leave a gap underneath where water can flow away, and the holes in the top let water drop through. Lifting your feet clear of standing water is the main idea: surfaces tend to feel drier and cleaner underfoot, and the tile can be lifted out for cleaning beneath.

Soft PVC with grip

The tiles are made from soft PVC that VEVOR says combines softness with toughness and holds its shape over time. The surface is non-slip, and the soft material gives a little underfoot, which can be more comfortable than bare tile when standing for long periods. VEVOR says the drainage holes are snug, so the tiles stay firmly joined. As with any floor covering for wet areas, the manual's guidance on use still applies, and smooth, wet floors can be slippery with or without a mat.

Interlocking and customizing

The edges click together like puzzle pieces, so no adhesive or tools are needed. You can arrange the tiles into a square, a long runner or an L-shape, and trim or remove pieces to fit around obstacles, as the instructions allow. VEVOR's listing mentions a choice of grey and black, and this set is the blue version.

Cleaning

The PVC is said to resist hair and oil, and VEVOR describes cleaning as a simple rinse. Because the tiles come apart, you can also clean the floor underneath, which is hard with a single large mat. Periodic lifting and drying helps stop grime collecting in the gaps.

Where to use them

VEVOR lists bathrooms, toilets, swimming pool surrounds, kitchens, restaurants and food service areas. Wet-room entrances, shower areas, locker rooms, laundry rooms and workshop floors are similar situations.

Size and weight

Each tile measures 12 x 12 x 0.6 inches. The full set weighs about 46.5 lb (21 kg), so it is a bulky parcel, but the tiles are easy to handle once unpacked.

Who it suits

It suits home users who want a quick floor cover in a wet area, and small businesses that need a replaceable mat in kitchens or pool areas. It is a floor covering, not a waterproofing system.

What to check before you buy

  • Floor area: measure your space; 50 tiles cover about 50 square feet before cutting.
  • Floor slope: make sure the floor beneath drains to a floor drain or an exit point.
  • Colour: the listing mentions several colours, so confirm the one you want.
  • Edges: check whether you need edge pieces or ramps for a tidy border.
  • Cleaning routine: plan to lift and dry the tiles from time to time.
