The Roborock F25 Ultra Steam Gen 2 (model WD6Y8A) is a cordless wet-dry vacuum and steam mop for hard floors. It vacuums dry debris, picks up spills and washes with steam and hot water in one pass. This second-generation model adds a longer battery runtime, a robotic arm for edges and stronger suction.
Steam and hot water
Roborock lists 356°F steam and 194°F hot-water cleaning, powered by what it calls VaporFlow 2.0 and WaveFlow. In general, heat helps loosen sticky messes and dried stains, and hot water helps with kitchen grease. The brand describes it as suited to solid wood and tile while staying gentle on surfaces, and the listing says the SensEdge arm is TÜV SÜD certified for use on solid wood floors. Check your flooring maker's guidance on steam too.
The SensEdge robotic arm
Edges are where a standard mop often falls short. Roborock says its robotic arm reacts in 0.18 seconds and reaches 0 in along three edges, which means it works right up against baseboards and corners. The arm lifts to avoid pushing dirty water and debris ahead, and Adaptive Shock Absorption is meant to leave less residual water.
Battery and tank
The upgraded battery is rated at up to 100 minutes of runtime and coverage of up to 8,396 sq ft on a charge, according to Roborock. The 1 L clean water tank is meant to reduce refills. Runtime typically falls when you use higher-power modes, so treat the maximum as a best case.
Suction and tangles
The listing gives 25,000 Pa suction. Pascals measure suction pressure, so a higher figure typically means a stronger pull on debris and liquid. Shark-tooth blades guide hair away from the roller to help prevent tangles, and a constant-pressure scraper reduces residual water.
Self-cleaning and drying
After use, 356°F steam and 203°F high-temperature washing loosen residue from the roller. DirTect adjusts water flow to the dirt level. 203°F hot-air drying then dries the roller, with a 5-minute fast option or a 30-minute quiet option.
Handling
A 180° lie-flat design and slim body slide under low furniture. App control lets you steer while it is flat. Dual brushless motors, a 70° swivel and a low-mounted water tank help it turn smoothly, and blue light illumination highlights fine dust and pet hair.
Size
The listing gives 9.9 x 10.4 x 43.3 in (about 25 x 26 x 110 cm) and 13.0 lb (about 5.9 kg).
Who it suits
It suits homes with mostly hard floors that want a single tool for dry and wet messes, especially larger spaces where a longer runtime helps.
What to check before you buy
- Floor types: confirm steam and hot water are suitable for your flooring, and avoid carpet unless the manual says otherwise.
- Home size: compare the runtime with the area you plan to clean per charge.
- Storage: it needs space for its charging and cleaning base.
- Water: think about how often you will refill the 1 L tank.
- Upkeep: check the manual for dirty water tank, filter and roller care.
- App: remote steering needs a compatible phone.
