What 30 kPa means
The pascal is a unit of pressure, and kPa figures on vacuums describe the suction pressure the motor can produce. A higher number generally means stronger pull, though real cleaning also depends on the brush head, airflow and how well the seal holds. CHEBIO says the C1-01 reaches 99.7% cleaning performance on hardwood and tile. That is the brand's own figure, from its own test conditions, so treat it as a guide rather than a promise for your floors.
Anti-tangle roller brush
The floor head has a V-shaped roller brush that CHEBIO says reduces hair wrapping. Long hair and pet fur are the usual cause of brush clogs, and a V-shaped pattern typically pushes strands toward the centre and into the airflow rather than letting them wind round the ends. You may still need to check and clear the brush now and then.
Battery and runtime
The battery is removable and can be charged separately. CHEBIO lists up to 50 minutes on the lowest suction setting, and says this is 35% more than before. Runtime falls noticeably at higher power, especially with a motorised brush on carpet, so expect the top setting to last for a fraction of that. A removable pack means you could, in principle, charge a spare while using the first one, if one is available.
Five-stage filtration and the dustbin
A five-cone dust separation system spins dust out of the airflow before it reaches the final filter. CHEBIO says it captures 99.9% of small dust particles. The dustbin detaches completely, is washable and empties with one button. Let any washed parts dry fully before refitting, as the manual advises.
Weight, size and attachments
It weighs 7.0 lb (about 3.2 kg) and measures about 11 x 9 x 43 inches (28 x 23 x 109 cm). A light stick is easier to carry on stairs and to use overhead. A long crevice tool and a dusting brush are included for curtains, beds, sofas and hard-to-reach areas.
Who it suits
It suits apartments and small to medium homes with a mix of hard floors and low-pile carpet, and households with pet hair. People with large homes or thick rugs should look closely at the runtime on the setting they would actually use.
