The dreame MF10 is a 39.8-inch (about 1-metre) bladeless tower fan designed to move air around a whole room rather than in one narrow stream. Two rotating parts send the airflow up, down and across, and a temperature sensor adjusts it as the room warms or cools. It's built for bedrooms and living rooms, in summer and through the rest of the year.
How a bladeless fan moves air
Bladeless fans aren't truly blade-free: a motor-driven impeller sits hidden in the base, draws air in and pushes it out through slim outlets. As that fast stream leaves the fan, it pulls surrounding air along with it, so the total airflow is larger than what passes through the motor. dreame calls its version AirBoost and says it increases overall airflow by up to 16 times.
Based on third-party lab data, dreame lists up to 989 CFM (cubic feet per minute, about 1,680 m³/h) and an air speed of up to 59 ft/s (about 18 m/s). CFM measures the volume of air moved, which is the more useful figure for circulating air around a room; air speed tells you how strong the breeze feels.
270° airflow with GyroWing
Two parts called GyroWings each turn up to 90° vertically, independently of each other. Combined with a 180° horizontal swing, the airflow covers up to 270°. The aim is to mix the air in a room evenly and reduce the warm and cool layers that tend to form, with warmer air near the ceiling and cooler air near the floor.
According to dreame, the fan can refresh a room of 538 sq ft (about 50 m²) in four minutes.
Smart modes and TempSync
A built-in temperature sensor called TempSync changes the airflow automatically as the room gets warmer or cooler. There are also three airflow modes, Smart, Natural and Sleep, aimed at work, rest and sleep. The SceneMaster system can start preset functions on a schedule or when the room reaches a set temperature.
It helps to remember what a fan does and doesn't do. It doesn't lower the room's temperature the way an air conditioner does; it moves air across your skin, which feels cooler, and it spreads warm or cool air more evenly around the room.
Controls
You can run the MF10 from the touchscreen, a magnetic remote, the Dreamehome app or a voice assistant. The screen shows the temperature in Fahrenheit only, which is worth knowing if you're used to Celsius.
Year-round use and upkeep
dreame positions the MF10 as a fan for every season: a breeze in summer, and in winter, moving warm air from a heater around the room. A removable, washable filter at the air intake catches hair, dirt and other large particles. It's a primary filter for larger debris rather than an air purifier, and because it's washable and reusable, there's no cartridge to replace; check the manual for how often to rinse it and let it dry fully before refitting.
Who it suits
It suits bedrooms and living rooms where you want air moved around the whole space, and households that like to automate a fan with schedules, an app or voice control. If you mainly want a personal breeze at a desk, a tall whole-room fan may be more than you need.
What to check before you buy
- Space: it stands 39.8 inches tall with a footprint of about 14.8 x 10.6 inches, and weighs about 13.9 lb (6.3 kg).
- Noise: look up the noise levels for the modes you'll use at night.
- App and Wi-Fi: confirm the app's requirements and that it works with your home network.
- Temperature display: Fahrenheit only.
- Filter care: how easily the intake filter comes out and how often it needs washing.
