The WOLFBOX MegaFlow24 Pro is a portable, battery-powered tire inflator for cars, SUVs, pickups, bikes and sports balls. It lets you top up tire pressure in the driveway or at the roadside without looking for an air pump, and it stops on its own when it reaches the pressure you set. Here is what its main figures mean.

Dual cylinders, 45 L/min and 150 PSI

The MegaFlow24 Pro uses a dual-cylinder pump, and WOLFBOX rates it at 45 litres of air per minute, which is roughly 1.6 cubic feet per minute. Airflow decides how quickly a tire fills; maximum pressure decides how high it can go.

The maximum of 150 PSI is well above what passenger car tires need, which is typically somewhere around 30 to 35 PSI. The headroom matters more for larger tires and for high-pressure items such as some bike tires.

How quickly it fills a tire

WOLFBOX's figures are for topping up from 29 to 36 PSI with a fully charged battery: about 44 seconds for a car tire (195/65R15), 1 minute 40 seconds for an SUV tire (265/65R18), and 2 minutes 36 seconds for a pickup tire (315/70R17). Those are top-ups rather than fills from flat, so a tire that has lost most of its air will take noticeably longer. Compact inflators typically need rest breaks during long fills, so check the manual for how long this one should run at a time.

Battery capacity in practice

The battery pack is listed as 3 × 4,000mAh, or 44.4Wh. WOLFBOX says one charge covers up to 23 car tires, 10 compact and mid-size SUV tires, or 6 pickup tires, again from 29 to 36 PSI. That is enough to top up all four tires on a family car several times between charges.

It recharges through a two-way USB-C port. With a 45W charger, a full charge takes about 100 minutes, but a wall charger isn't included. The same port lets it work as a power bank for a phone or other devices. The brand's images also show a 12V car charger cord in the box.

Display, preset and the tire chuck

The 3.5-inch dual digital display shows the real-time pressure alongside the preset target. You set the target, press start, and the pump stops when it gets there. A built-in LED light has standard and SOS modes for use at night.

The quick-connect tire chuck screws onto the threaded 20-inch hose. For mid-size SUVs and pickups, you can remove the chuck and screw the hose straight onto the valve, which gives a firmer connection and reduces the risk of it slipping off. The box also includes three nozzle adapters, a USB-C cable, a carry case and a user manual.

Who it suits

It suits drivers who want to keep tire pressure in check at home, people with an SUV or pickup and larger tires, and anyone who also inflates bike tires or sports balls. The power bank and light make it a handy item to keep in the car.

What to check before you buy

  • Your tire pressure: use the recommended figure on your vehicle's door-jamb label or in the owner's manual, and measure with tires cold.
  • Charger: you'll need a USB-C charger, ideally 45W, for the quoted recharge time.
  • Tire size: large off-road tires take longer and use more of the battery per fill.
  • Run time: read the manual for how long it should run before a break.
  • Storage: keep it charged, since a flat battery is of little use at the roadside.

The short version

  • A battery-powered tire inflator with two cylinders, 45 L/min and up to 150 PSI.
  • About 44 seconds for a car tire top-up from 29 to 36 PSI, according to WOLFBOX.
  • 44.4Wh battery: up to 23 car, 10 SUV or 6 pickup tire top-ups per charge.
  • Preset pressure with auto stop, a 3.5-inch dual display, LED light with SOS and two-way USB-C.
  • Detachable quick-connect chuck on a 20-inch threaded hose, plus three nozzle adapters.
