The VEVOR ZX-B012 is a 14-piece bearing puller kit built around a 5-ton screw mechanism. Pressed-on bearings, gears and pulleys can be hard to remove without damaging them or the shaft behind them, and a puller set is designed to grip the part and draw it off with steady, even force.

What is in the case

VEVOR lists 14 pieces: two separator jaws, four hex push-puller legs, four extension screws, a lead screw, two puller legs and a yoke. They come in a case that VEVOR describes as dustproof and waterproof. The two push-puller leg lengths are 3.9 inches (100 mm) and 5.1 inches (130 mm), with matching extension screws, so you can choose reach to suit the job. The lead screw is listed as M14 and about 6.9 inches (175 mm) long.

Two separator sizes

The small jaw adjusts from 1.2 to 2.0 inches (30 to 50 mm), and the large jaw from 2.0 to 2.8 inches (50 to 70 mm). Together they cover bearings, gears and pulleys from roughly 30 to 70 mm across. A bearing separator works by slipping a thin, tapered edge behind the part, so it can pull on the bearing itself instead of the shaft. VEVOR says the knife-shaped taper helps the jaws keep their grip in tight spaces.

Pushing and pulling

The kit supports two ways of working. With the separator and yoke, the lead screw pushes against the shaft end while the jaws draw the bearing off. With the two puller legs attached, you get a claw-style pull, which VEVOR says suits horizontal and vertical work. The ball-end screw is meant to make turning easier and spread the force evenly. In general, a smooth, even pull is kinder to a shaft than sudden force.

What 5 tons means

The 5-ton figure is the maximum pulling force VEVOR gives for the set. VEVOR says it suits most vehicles, ATVs and light trucks. Real-world capacity also depends on how tightly the part is seated, rust and the condition of the shaft. The screw is described as 8.8-grade, a common strength class for fasteners.

Materials and finish

The parts are made of 45# steel, which VEVOR says is heat-treated for hardness, with a black anti-rust coating meant to resist oil and chemicals. The complete kit weighs 10.6 lb (4.8 kg) and measures about 14.2 x 9.1 x 2.5 inches (360 x 230 x 63 mm).

Who it suits

It suits home mechanics and small workshops that do wheel bearing, pulley, gear or steering component work and want one case holding the common pulling accessories. It is a hand tool for removal, so it isn't a substitute for the press or driver you'd use to fit a new bearing.

What to check before you buy

  • Bearing size: measure the outside diameter of the part. It should fall between about 30 and 70 mm.
  • Clearance: confirm there's enough room behind the bearing for the thin jaw edge, and enough space for the puller to sit square.
  • Reach: compare the 3.9 and 5.1 inch legs with how deep the part sits.
  • Force needs: heavy trucks and seized parts may call for a different tool.
  • Upkeep: keep the screws lightly oiled and the case dry, as is usual for steel tools.
  • Safety: wear eye protection and follow the manual, as pullers can release stored force suddenly.
