The AstroAI M10 combines a 12V car jump starter with a tire inflator in one compact unit. It also works as a power bank and has an LED light, so one kit covers a flat battery, a soft tire and a dark roadside. Here is what its specifications mean, and what to know before keeping one in the car.

What 6000A peak and BOOST mean

AstroAI rates the M10 at 6000A of peak current, for 12V batteries in all gas engines and diesel engines up to 12.0 litres. Peak current is the brief maximum the pack can deliver, not the current it holds while cranking, and there is no single standard for measuring it. The engine sizes the brand lists are a more practical guide to what it is meant to start.

For a severely depleted battery, there is a BOOST button. On most jump starters, boost mode lets the clamps deliver power even when the battery is too flat for the unit to detect. Use it only as the manual describes, and follow the manual's order for connecting the clamps.

The 150 PSI inflator

The built-in compressor reaches up to 150 PSI, and AstroAI says it tops a car tire up from 32 to 36 PSI in about one minute. It has five preset modes and an automatic shut-off that stops at the set pressure. According to the product images, the presets cover cars (28-36 PSI), motorcycles (30-35 PSI), bicycles (100-120 PSI) and balls (0-8 PSI), plus a manual mode from 3 to 150 PSI.

You can read pressure in PSI, bar or kPa on a display that AstroAI describes as clear in bright sunlight. The air hose is 24 inches (60 cm) long, and four nozzles cover car and bicycle valves and other inflatables. AstroAI asks you to let the unit cool for at least 10 minutes after 10 minutes of continuous use. As a general rule, set tire pressure to the figure on your vehicle's door-jamb label, measured when the tires are cold.

Power bank and light

The M10 can charge a phone or other small device, with up to 18W of output according to the product images. It recharges through the included USB-A to USB-C cable. The LED light has flashlight, SOS and strobe modes, and the images give it 400 lumens.

Protections and certification

AstroAI lists ten protections. According to the product images, they include reverse polarity, reverse connection, over-current, over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, overload, short circuit, high and low temperature, and spark-proof protection. The brand lists UL certification and FCC compliance, and the housing is ABS plastic. These features don't replace care: read the manual before the first jump start.

Battery care, size and what's in the box

AstroAI lists more than 1,000 charge cycles and a working range of -4 to 140°F (-20 to 60°C). Charge it fully before first use and, if it sits unused, recharge it every two to three months to keep the battery healthy.

The unit weighs 1.7 lb (about 0.8 kg) and has a built-in handle. The kit includes the battery clamps, an EVA carrying case, the USB-A to USB-C cable, four air nozzles, the 24-inch hose and a user manual. AstroAI lists a 24-month warranty.

Who it suits

It suits drivers who want jump starting and tire inflation in one kit for the car, as well as cyclists and anyone who tops up sports balls or other inflatables at home.

What to check before you buy

  • Your engine: confirm it is a 12V system and within the listed gas and diesel range.
  • Your tires: check your vehicle's recommended pressures and the valve types you need.
  • Duty cycle: for larger tires, allow for the 10-minute cooling breaks.
  • Storage: a car parked in strong sun can get very hot inside, so compare that with the listed temperature range.
  • Upkeep: plan to recharge it every few months.

  • Doubles as a power bank, with an LED light offering flashlight, SOS and strobe modes.
