VEVOR HD-10 Rotary Welding Positioner: specs and who it suits

A 10 kg tabletop welding positioner with a 20W motor, 1-12 RPM stepless speed, a 0-90° tilting table, foot pedal and 3-jaw chuck. What the specs mean.

The VEVOR HD-10 is a compact rotary welding positioner: a motorized turntable that holds a workpiece and turns it at a slow, steady speed. This lets a welder keep the torch in one comfortable position while the part moves, which is especially helpful for circular welds on pipes, flanges and round parts.

How a positioner helps

Welding around a round part by hand means constantly moving your body or the torch. A positioner reverses that: the work rotates while you hold the torch still. The result is typically a more even bead and less fatigue. The same table is used for cutting, grinding, assembly and testing, and VEVOR says it can be fixed to a bench or specific tooling, used for manual welding, or paired with welding equipment for automatic welding.

Motor, speed and capacity

A 20W motor drives the table at 1 to 12 RPM. Speed is adjustable with a knob, and VEVOR calls the adjustment "stepless", meaning continuous rather than in fixed steps. Those slow speeds suit welding, where travel speed matters more than turning fast.

The load limit depends on the table's angle. VEVOR lists up to 22 lb (10 kg) when the table is horizontal and 11 lb (5 kg) when it is vertical. The difference is the leverage: a tilted load puts more strain on the table and gearing. Always treat the figure as a limit for the whole workpiece, including any fixture.

The tilting table

The worktable tilts from 0 to 90° and is locked at the chosen angle with a butterfly bolt. VEVOR says the worm gear structure has a self-locking function, which holds the position of the workpiece. Worm gears typically resist being turned back from the output side, which helps hold a load steady. Tilting lets you weld flat, at an angle or on end without re-clamping the part.

Chuck and foot pedal

The positioner has a 205 mm (8.1 inch) K01-63 three-jaw chuck. VEVOR gives its clamping range as 2 to 58 mm and its supporting range as 22 to 50 mm. A three-jaw chuck centres round stock automatically as you tighten it, so it's well matched to tubes and rods.

A foot pedal switch starts and stops the 360-degree rotation, leaving both hands free for the torch and the work.

Size and weight

The unit measures about 12.6 x 10.6 x 11.1 inches and weighs 22 lb, so it's small enough for a bench, though it should be secured as the manual describes.

Who it suits

It suits hobbyists, small fabrication shops and repair workshops that do regular circular or small-part welding and want steadier results. Its 10 kg limit makes it a light-duty positioner, not one for heavy fabrications.

What to check before you buy

  • Part weight and shape: weigh your typical workpieces, including fixtures, and remember the lower vertical limit.
  • Chuck range: confirm your parts fall within the 2-58 mm clamping or 22-50 mm supporting range.
  • Power and controls: check the supply requirements in the manual and where the pedal will sit.
  • Bench space: make sure the bench can hold it firmly and the torch can reach all around the part.
  • Welding safety: follow standard welding safety practice and the manual, including protective gear and ventilation.

The short version

  • A tabletop rotary welding positioner rated for 10 kg horizontal and 5 kg vertical loads.
  • 20W motor with stepless 1-12 RPM speed control.
  • Table tilts 0-90° with a self-locking worm gear.
  • 205 mm three-jaw chuck and a foot pedal for hands-free rotation.
  • About 22 lb, built for light-duty and bench use.
