The VEVOR JP2215CO is a portable PA (public address) system built around a powered speaker unit, a built-in 3-channel mixer and a second speaker on a stand. It is aimed at DJs, hosts, speakers and small bands who need sound at events, meetings and outdoor gatherings. Here is what its main specs mean.

What "2000W PMPO" tells you

VEVOR gives the system a 2000W PMPO figure. PMPO stands for peak music power output, a peak figure that is measured differently from RMS, which is continuous power. PMPO numbers are typically much larger than RMS numbers for the same hardware, so it is best not to compare the two directly. If you need to match the system to a room or crowd, look for an RMS figure in the manual. VEVOR says the system suits large indoor and outdoor events, including audiences of up to 10,000 people, and quotes 1% total harmonic distortion (THD). Lower THD generally means a cleaner signal.

Mixer and inputs

The 3-channel input lets several sources connect at once, for example a microphone, an instrument and a music player. VEVOR says that hosts and musicians can plug in simultaneously, and that the inputs are compatible with 90% of equipment without adapters. A kit-style mixer is handy because it removes the need for a separate unit: volume for each source is adjusted on the system itself. The package includes a microphone, and the system has USB and SD inputs for playing audio files.

Bluetooth and remote control

The system supports Bluetooth 5.0 with a range of up to about 23.8 ft (10 m), and VEVOR describes anti-interference technology for a lag-free connection. Bluetooth lets a phone or laptop stream music with no cable. A 16.4 ft (5 m) remote controls its functions from a distance, which helps when you are standing away from the speaker.

Stands, height and portability

The speakers sit on a split-design stand that adjusts from 63 to 73.23 inches. Raising the speakers lifts sound above the front rows so it reaches further back, which is a standard approach to covering a big room or outdoor space. The system has grooved handles and rolling wheels for moving. Listed dimensions are 17.5 x 14.2 x 26.0 inches and it weighs 63 lb (about 29 kg), so wheels are welcome.

Who it suits

It suits mobile DJs, community events, schools, places of worship, meetings and weddings where one all-in-one set is easier than separate speakers, mixer and cables. Anyone doing professional touring work may want more channel inputs than three.

What to check before you buy

  • Venue size: compare the stated reach with your room and crowd, and find the RMS figure in the manual.
  • Number of sources: three channels cover a few inputs; count what you need to connect.
  • Power: check the outlet or power source where you will set up, and where cables will run.
  • Weight: 63 lb is manageable on wheels but needs a plan for stairs and vehicles.
  • Hearing safety: keep volume at sensible levels, and consider the neighbours and any local noise rules.
  • What's in the box: confirm the microphone, stands, remote and cables listed.
