The Lemorele R1100 is a wireless HDMI kit: one transmitter plugs into a video source, one receiver plugs into a display, and the picture travels between them without a cable. It's aimed at camera monitoring and live shooting, where a long HDMI cable is awkward.

How it works

The transmitter connects to your HDMI source, such as a camera or laptop, and the receiver connects to the screen. Lemorele says pairing completes within 5-10 seconds and that no wiring or software setup is needed. The system uses 5 GHz Wi-Fi, a band that is generally less crowded than 2.4 GHz and so tends to resist interference. Lemorele also mentions external high-gain antennas.

Range and latency

Lemorele quotes 656 ft (200 m) of transmission, but only in open space without obstructions. Walls, people and other wireless devices typically reduce range, so treat the figure as a maximum. Latency is listed at 50 ms. That is the delay between the source and the screen, and it matters most when you're framing shots or watching live action.

Picture quality

The kit sends 1080p at 60 Hz, using H.264 encoding. This suits full HD monitors and large screens, but not 4K sources at their native resolution. The listing says the system supports up to four receivers, though this package includes one transmitter and one receiver.

Phone preview

The TUTUPlay app for iOS and Android lets you preview the footage on a phone, with a stated viewing range of 65 ft (about 20 m). That makes it handy for a director or assistant who wants a look without a separate monitor.

Powering it

There are two options: the included USB-C cable with a 5V/2A supply, or an NP-F battery in the slot for outdoor shooting. Batteries are sold separately. Lemorele warns that insufficient power can cause lag, disconnection or pairing failure, so use a 5V/2A supply as specified. The units are small, at about 3.9 x 0.8 x 1.1 inches and 0.1 lb.

Who it suits

It suits videographers, event streamers and anyone who wants a cable-free link from an HDMI source to a screen, such as presentations or monitoring.

What to check before you buy

  • Resolution: it tops out at 1080p, so check your source and display.
  • Latency: 50 ms may matter for fast-action or gaming use.
  • Power: confirm that you have a 5V/2A supply or compatible NP-F batteries.
  • Environment: remember the 656 ft range is for open space only.
  • Content protection: check the manual for any limits with protected content.
