The ASUS VA27EHE is a 27-inch Full HD monitor with an IPS panel and a frameless look. It is aimed at everyday computing: office work, browsing, video and casual gaming. It offers a 75Hz refresh rate, Adaptive-Sync and ASUS Eye Care features. Here is what those specs mean in practice.
Screen size, resolution and panel
The display is 27 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) and LED backlighting. On a screen this size, Full HD spreads fewer pixels across a larger area than on a smaller monitor, so text and fine detail look less sharp than on a higher-resolution panel at the same size. Many people still find it perfectly suitable for general use at a normal desk distance.
The panel is IPS, a technology known for consistent colour when viewed from the side. ASUS lists a 178° wide viewing angle and says it gives vivid image quality with minimal colour shift. That helps when two people look at the screen together or when you sit off-centre.
75Hz and Adaptive-Sync
A standard monitor refreshes 60 times a second. The VA27EHE goes up to 75Hz, which can make motion and scrolling a little smoother. Adaptive-Sync lets the monitor match its refresh rate to the graphics output, which is meant to reduce tearing and stutter in games. ASUS says it helps to eliminate tracing and keep video playback smooth. Adaptive-Sync needs a compatible graphics card and a connection that supports it, so check your computer's specifications.
Eye Care features
ASUS Eye Care technology includes flicker-free and low blue light modes, which ASUS says are TÜV Rhineland certified. Flicker-free backlights hold brightness steady rather than pulsing, and low blue light modes shift colours toward warmer tones. ASUS positions these as aids to a comfortable viewing experience. Taking regular breaks from the screen remains good practice for anyone.
Design and mounting
The frameless design keeps the borders slim, which looks neat on a desk and helps if you place two monitors side by side. The stand allows ergonomic tilt, and the monitor is VESA wall-mountable, so you can use a wall mount or monitor arm to save desktop space. Check the mounting pattern in the manual before buying a bracket.
Ports and size
Connections are HDMI and D-Sub (VGA). HDMI is the one to use with most modern computers, and the D-Sub port helps connect older computers. There is no DisplayPort or USB-C input listed. The monitor measures about 17.9 x 24.1 x 9.4 inches (45 x 61 x 24 cm) including the stand and weighs 10 lb (about 4.5 kg).
What to check before you buy
- Confirm your computer has an HDMI or D-Sub output, and that you have the right cable.
- Decide whether Full HD resolution suits you at 27 inches, especially for detailed work.
- Check Adaptive-Sync support on your graphics hardware if you want to use it.
- Measure your desk against the stand and check the height range, since only tilt is listed.
- If wall mounting, check the VESA pattern and weight limits of the bracket.
- Check what is in the box, including cables.
