The ASUS VA24DCP is a 23.8-inch Full HD monitor with a frameless IPS panel, a 75Hz refresh rate and a USB-C port that can also charge a laptop. It is aimed at everyday desk work, where a tidy single-cable connection and a clean look matter more than extreme resolution or speed.
Resolution and panel
The screen is 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) on a LED-backlit IPS panel. At 23.8 inches, 1080p gives a pixel density that most people find comfortable for documents, browsing and general office work, though text is less crisp than on higher-resolution panels. IPS technology typically holds colour and brightness well when seen from the side, and ASUS quotes a 178° viewing angle.
75Hz and Adaptive-Sync
A standard office monitor refreshes 60 times a second. This one goes up to 75Hz, which can make scrolling and cursor movement feel a little smoother. It also supports Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync), which lets the display match its refresh rate to the graphics source, reducing tearing and stutter when a compatible computer is rendering at changing frame rates. ASUS presents it for clear video playback rather than as a dedicated gaming display.
One cable with USB-C
The USB-C port supports up to 65W of Power Delivery. With a laptop that supports video output over USB-C, one cable can carry the picture and charge the laptop at the same time. 65W is enough for many thin-and-light laptops, but larger machines may need more, so check the wattage of your laptop's charger. The monitor also has an HDMI port (version 1.4), which suits desktop computers, set-top boxes and similar sources.
Comfort features
ASUS Eye Care Plus includes Flicker-free and Low Blue Light technologies, which ASUS says are TÜV Rheinland certified, along with Color Augmentation and a Rest Reminder. These are software and hardware options that adjust the display's behaviour. Treat them as comfort settings you can switch on or off to taste.
Design, speakers and mounting
The frameless design makes the screen edges look thin, which is handy for side-by-side dual-monitor setups. Built-in speakers cover basic sound without extra gear, although separate speakers or a headset are typical for better audio. The monitor is VESA wall-mountable, so it can go on a monitor arm or wall bracket to free up desk space; check the mounting pattern and weight limit in the manual.
Size and weight
With its stand it measures about 24.1 x 6.0 x 17.9 inches (roughly 61 x 15 x 45 cm) and weighs 8.8 lb (about 4 kg).
Who it suits
It suits home offices, students, and anyone wanting a simple, uncluttered desk with a laptop that supports USB-C charging and video. It is less suited to work needing very high resolution, wide colour accuracy or high-refresh gaming.
What to check before you buy
- Laptop USB-C: confirm your laptop supports video output over USB-C and accepts 65W charging.
- Resolution: check that 1080p at this size is sharp enough for your tasks.

- Stand and mount: the manual describes the stand's adjustments and the VESA pattern.
- Desk space: check width and depth against your desk.
