The ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDMR is a 32-inch 4K gaming monitor using a QD-OLED panel. It runs at a 240 Hz refresh rate with a 0.03 ms response time, and it adds features meant to protect the OLED panel over time. It is designed for gamers who also want accurate colour for photo and video work.
What QD-OLED offers
In an OLED display, each pixel produces its own light, so black pixels can switch off completely. That is why ASUS talks about "the deepest black hues". QD-OLED adds a quantum dot layer to boost colour and brightness. ASUS calls this its third-generation QD-OLED panel. The screen is 4K (3840 x 2160), which on 32 inches gives a sharp image at normal desk distance.
Speed: 240 Hz and 0.03 ms
A 240 Hz refresh rate means the screen updates 240 times per second, which looks smoother in fast games if your computer can produce that many frames at 4K. The 0.03 ms (grey-to-grey) response time describes how quickly pixels change colour, and OLED panels are typically very quick here, which reduces motion blur. The monitor is G-SYNC Compatible, so it can work with supported NVIDIA graphics cards to reduce tearing.
Colour and HDR
ASUS lists 99% DCI-P3 coverage, true 10-bit colour and a Delta E under 2 colour difference. DCI-P3 is a wide gamut used in film and many modern displays, and Delta E under 2 generally means colour errors are hard to see. The panel is VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black compliant, which is a certification for OLED displays with deep blacks. ASUS describes it as suitable for photo and video editing.
Burn-in protection
OLED screens can suffer image retention if a static image stays on for long periods. ASUS lists OLED Care Pro, including a Neo Proximity Sensor that detects when you are away and switches the screen to black. An optional uniform brightness setting keeps luminance steady, and a custom heatsink helps with cooling. DisplayWidget Center lets you change monitor settings and OLED Care options with a mouse. These measures reduce the risk, not eliminate it.
Connections
Inputs include DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1 and USB-C with 90 W Power Delivery. USB-C can carry video and charge a compatible laptop through one cable. The box includes a DP80 DisplayPort 2.1 cable, an HDMI Ultra High Speed cable, USB 3.2 and USB-C cables, a power cord, a ROG pouch and sticker, a VESA mount kit, a quick start guide and a warranty card. ASUS lists a three-year warranty.
Who it suits
It suits gamers with a powerful graphics card and creators who want a large, colour-rich 4K display for both play and work.
What to check before you buy

- Usage: If you leave static content on screen for long periods, read the OLED care advice.
- Brightness and room: Consider your room lighting.
- Cables and mounting: Check that your computer's ports match, and that a VESA mount fits your arm.
