The ASUS ProArt Display PA328CGV is a 32-inch monitor aimed at creative professionals, including photo and video editors and graphic designers. It combines a QHD IPS panel with wide colour coverage, factory calibration and a 165Hz refresh rate, plus USB-C and a USB hub for connecting laptops and accessories.

Resolution and panel

The panel is 32 inches with a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440. At this size, QHD gives more working room than Full HD and noticeably sharper text, though it is less dense than 4K. The IPS panel has a 178° viewing angle, which typically means colour and brightness stay consistent when you view the screen from the side. ASUS also lists up to 600 nits of HDR brightness.

What the colour specs mean

Colour gamut describes the range of colours a screen can show. ASUS lists 100% sRGB/Rec. 709 coverage, the standard for web content and HD video, and 95% DCI-P3, a wider space used in digital cinema and increasingly in photo and video work.

Delta E measures colour error, where lower is more accurate. A value under 2 is generally hard to see by eye. ASUS says each monitor is factory pre-calibrated to Delta E below 2 and is Calman Verified, a colour-accuracy programme run by Portrait Displays. Anyone with strict colour needs may still choose to calibrate with their own hardware over time.

Refresh rate and connections

At up to 165Hz, the screen refreshes far more often than a typical 60Hz office monitor, which gives smoother cursor and window movement and suits some games too. The listing mentions HDMI, USB-C with Power Delivery, and a USB 3.1 hub. USB-C Power Delivery typically lets a compatible laptop charge and send video over a single cable. The wattage supplied and the supported video modes are in the specifications, so check them against your laptop. ASUS lists it as compatible with laptops and Macs.

Size and weight

With its stand, the monitor measures about 9.6 x 28.6 x 18.5 inches (24 x 73 x 47 cm) and weighs 25.8 lb (about 11.7 kg). That is a wide screen, so measure your desk.

Who it suits

It suits photographers, video editors and designers who want a large, factory-calibrated screen with wide gamut coverage. It could also suit people who want a single-cable laptop setup on a big screen.

What to check before you buy

  • Desk space: a 32-inch screen is about 73 cm wide with its stand.
  • Graphics output: confirm your computer can drive 1440p at the refresh rate you want over the cable you'll use.
  • USB-C: check that your laptop supports video output and charging over USB-C, and the power the monitor delivers.
  • Colour workflow: if your work targets a wider gamut such as Adobe RGB, note that the listing gives only sRGB, Rec. 709 and DCI-P3 figures.
  • Stand and mounting: check the manual for stand adjustments and VESA options.
  • Included extras: the listing mentions a limited-time software trial whose dates have passed, so don't count on it.
