The VEVOR SC-19OL-B01 is a small suitcase that a child can ride like a scooter or an adult can pull along. It is made for children aged 5 and up, and is meant to make airport and station walks quicker and less tiring for little legs. It comes in pink and holds 20 litres.

Ride and pull in one

VEVOR describes it as a 2-in-1: the child stands on an aluminium footrest and pushes along, or the parent pulls it like regular wheeled luggage. The footrest is rated to support up to 110 lb (about 50 kg), and the body weighs about 7 lb (3.2 kg). That weight matters, because the case still has to be lifted onto conveyor belts, into overhead bins and up steps.

Wheels, brake and stability

The case rolls on front double wheels with a single rear wheel. VEVOR says this layout keeps it stable and stops it tipping. The wheels are flash PU, meaning they light up as they roll. A foot brake and an anti-slip TPR handle grip give the rider some control in busy places or on gentle slopes.

As with any ride-on toy, it is for an adult-supervised child on smooth, level surfaces, away from stairs, escalators, roads and moving walkways. Check the manual for how it should be used.

Shell, size and storage

The shell is high-density EVA, a firm but light foam-like plastic, with a 210D polyester lining. VEVOR says this resists scratches and knocks. The listed dimensions are 12.99 x 11.02 x 20.47 inches (about 33 x 28 x 52 cm), which VEVOR says meets carry-on standards, so it can fit in overhead compartments, car boots and train seats.

Inside, the 20 L capacity is enough for a change of clothes, snacks and a few small items for a short trip. X-shaped straps hold the contents in place and there are zippered compartments for smaller items. Airline carry-on limits differ between carriers and change over time, and the scooter itself may be treated differently from a standard case, so check your airline's current rules for children's ride-on luggage before you fly.

Foldable handle

The adjustable handle folds away, which VEVOR says makes the case easy to carry and put away. The handle can usually be set to different heights, so it can suit a child's reach when riding or an adult's when pulling.

Who it suits

It suits families travelling with a child who tires of walking through terminals, and parents who want the child's bag to be something the child can manage. At 20 L it is a light overnight or day bag rather than a full family suitcase. The stated rider limit is 110 lb, so check that your child is within it and old enough.

What to check before you buy

  • Rider weight and age: the listed limit is 110 lb, for ages 5 and up.
  • Airline rules: carry-on size and ride-on luggage policies vary; check your carrier.
  • Packing needs: 20 L suits short trips; compare it with what your child usually takes.
  • Where you will use it: small wheels like smooth floors more than gravel or cobblestones.
  • Supervision: decide where riding is acceptable and where the child should walk.
  • Upkeep: wipe the shell clean and check the manual for the wheel lights and any battery details.
