The VEVOR 10x7 ft golf practice net is a portable hitting net for working on swings, chips and short shots at home. It folds into a carry bag, goes up in a few minutes and comes with a starter set of balls and tees, so you can practise in a backyard, a garage with enough room, or at a park.

What is in the set

VEVOR lists the following in the package:

  • the net and frame;
  • target areas;
  • turf tees (one set of three types);
  • 5 real golf balls;
  • 1 ball tray;
  • 1 carry bag;
  • 4 ground stakes.

That makes it a ready-to-use kit, although most players will want their own mat for the hitting position.

Net and frame construction

The net combines 420D Oxford fabric and 170g protective netting. VEVOR says the seams are double-sewn to cope with the impact of golf balls. The frame uses 0.3 in fibreglass rods, which flex under load and spring back, a common choice for portable frames. Netting that takes repeated impacts at speed is a wear item, so check it from time to time for loose stitching or thin spots.

Targets and containment

There is a large hitting area plus three additional target areas, designed for practising swings, chips and different shots. Netting at the sides and top is there to stop balls flying out, and a bottom barrier is intended to limit bounce-outs. No net can promise zero escapes, particularly with a full swing and a mishit, so leave clear space around and behind it, and keep people, pets and windows out of the line of flight.

Setup and storage

VEVOR says assembly and takedown each take about five minutes. The ground stakes hold the net steady outdoors. Indoors, the stakes aren't usable on hard flooring, so check that the net stays stable. The packed size is about 10.1 x 6.1 x 6.5 in, with a weight of about 8.7 lb (3.9 kg), so it is easy to carry.

Who it suits

It suits golfers who want to keep their swing ticking over between rounds, beginners practising basics, and families with a backyard. For serious launch data, you would need additional equipment, as this is a net with targets, not a simulator.

What to check before you buy

  • Space: the net is 10 ft wide and 7 ft tall, so check ceiling height for full swings indoors and leave room behind the net.
  • Club length: make sure a driver swing fits inside the frame width.
  • Balls: real golf balls travel fast. Many players use foam or limited-flight balls indoors.
  • Surface: stakes suit grass or soil. On hard surfaces, think about weighting the base.
  • Wear: keep it out of rain and sun when not in use, as the manual advises.
  • Left- or right-handed: check that the target layout works for your stance.
