The VEVOR BF152-1 is a single-tap kegerator: a refrigerator built to hold a keg and dispense draft beer through a tap on top. It suits a home bar, garage or small commercial space where beer is poured from kegs instead of bottles. VEVOR supplies the tap tower, beer line, CO2 tank and installation kit, so the main parts are in the box.

How a kegerator works

A keg sits in the refrigerated cabinet, and a CO2 tank pushes gas through a regulator into the keg. That pressure moves the beer through the line to the tap. Keeping the beer cold and under steady pressure helps it pour consistently. The tap is mounted on a tower on top of the cabinet.

What kegs it holds

VEVOR says the cabinet is spacious enough for US-standard full-size, quarter and sixth barrels, and the title mentions holding two sixth barrels or two ball-lock kegs. The listing says it is built for a "D system" coupler, which is the common US coupler for many domestic kegs. Other keg types may need a different coupler, so check yours. Barrel dimensions vary, so measure against the interior.

Temperature control

A knob adjusts the inside temperature from 32 to 50°F (0 to 10°C). VEVOR says the unit restores your chosen setting after a power outage. An auto-defrost design is listed, which the brand says keeps performance steady over time.

CO2 tank and bracket

A 5 lb CO2 tank is included, though it is empty, so it must be filled before use. An external bracket mounts the tank outside the cabinet, leaving more space inside. Hose clamps and gaskets are included, which VEVOR says help prevent leaks.

Beer line length

The beer line is 9.8 ft (3 m) long. VEVOR says the longer line helps produce proper foam and flavour. In general, line length and gas pressure both affect how beer pours, and settings differ between beer styles.

Shelves, wheels and drip tray

Two extra shelves let the cabinet double as an ordinary refrigerator when not used for a keg. Four wheels make it easy to move, and the two front ones lock. A drip tray collects spills, and a stainless steel guard rail is fitted.

Size and weight

The unit measures about 21.7 x 20.7 x 33.2 inches (55 x 53 x 84 cm) and weighs 90.4 lb (about 41 kg). Allow some clearance around it for ventilation as the manual describes.

Who it suits

It suits home brewers, hosts and small venues that serve one beer at a time. If you want several beers on tap, you will need a multi-tap model.

What to check before you buy

  • Keg type: confirm your keg's coupler is compatible with the D system.
  • Keg size: measure to be sure it fits the cabinet.
  • CO2: the tank arrives empty, so arrange a refill.
  • Space and power: check the floor area, ventilation and outlet.
  • Cleaning: beer lines need regular cleaning; follow the manual.
  • Local rules: check any rules on commercial use.
