The VEVOR B15-BT is a floor-standing electric stand mixer with a 15-quart stainless-steel bowl and a 500W motor. It is made for restaurants, bakeries, pizzerias and other kitchens that mix dough, batter, fillings and cream in larger batches than a household mixer can handle.
Three attachments for different jobs
The mixer comes with a dough hook, a flat beater and a wire whip. VEVOR describes each as follows:
- Dough hook: for heavy mixtures such as pizza dough.
- Flat beater: for mashed potatoes or vegetables, cake mixes, batters and icing.
- Wire whip: for aerating light mixtures such as whipped cream and egg whites.
In general, this is the standard trio of attachments you find on stand mixers, and it covers most baking and prep work.
Speeds and what they suit
There are three speeds: 113, 184 and 341 RPM. VEVOR suggests the low speed for kneading dough, the medium speed for fillings and the high speed for whipping cream. The usual approach with any mixer is to begin slowly so ingredients combine without splashing, and to speed up once they are incorporated. VEVOR advises stopping the machine before changing speed.
The motor is rated at 500W and uses gear-driven transmission, which the brand says gives fast, even mixing. Gear drive is typically chosen over belts for steady torque under load.
Bowl capacity
The bowl holds 15 quarts. VEVOR states that it can mix up to 1.5 kg (3.3 lb) of food at one time. That is the maximum mixing load it quotes, which is smaller than the bowl's volume would suggest, because dough needs room and heavy loads strain the motor. Work to the load figure when planning batches.
The bowl, the hook and the other food-contact parts are made of food-grade stainless steel, which VEVOR describes as rust-resistant, corrosion-resistant and easy to clean. The bowl and attachments detach for washing.
Timer, bowl lift and guard
A timer knob lets you set a mixing time of up to 30 minutes so you don't need to stand watching it. A turning wheel raises and lowers the bowl. A safety shield covers the bowl, and VEVOR says the machine shuts off automatically if the shield isn't fully closed. Never reach into the bowl while the machine is running, and follow the manual.
Size and placement
The mixer measures about 15 x 19 x 27 inches and weighs 127.9 lb (about 58 kg). That is heavy, so plan where it will stand and how you will move it in. It needs a sturdy, level surface or floor space and a suitable power outlet.
Who it suits
It suits small bakeries, pizzerias, cafés and restaurant kitchens that regularly mix doughs, batters and fillings, and anyone who needs more capacity than a countertop mixer offers. VEVOR also names hotels and other commercial kitchens.
What to check before you buy
- Batch size: compare the 1.5 kg mixing load with the quantities you make.
- Power: check the voltage and outlet where it will be used.
- Space and weight: it weighs almost 128 lb, so check the floor or bench and the route to the room.
- Dough types: confirm the dough hook and 113 RPM low speed suit the doughs you make.
- Cleaning: removable parts help, but check the manual for care instructions.
- Local rules: commercial kitchens may have equipment standards, so check what applies.
